Although at the end of the day, some will still like it, love it,dislike it, hate it.

I never had this problem with my own and a day or two at most to produce..
Just saying

Rob
But Rob your market is very different. I suspect you are going for a specific, much narrower audience than a software synth unless it is a very specialised synth, and tbh I am sure you don't have as much R&D investment in yours.

Don't get me wrong I too am dying to hear what it sounds like....but at the end of the day I can't buy it before it is ready even if I love how it sounds... so I too will have to wait...but I do understand why they may want to take their time to make sure the demos at least make them happy that it represents the product properly.

Look how much time we spent speaking about the GUI and shadows and solarized etc...

I agree with most of the responders on this site. The text in the gui's seems hard to read because the contrast is insufficient. Also, releasing info on a new synth without one, not one song demo is not convincing at all, since so many synths have tons of knobs, osc, etc, and sound just average and unusable in a pro recording situation. It's the sound, man, the sound! Show me the SOUND!

When you play chords and multiple octaves of the same note they will be intelligently detuned (slightly) to thicken the sound.
pdxindy wrote:I am not seeing the dual multimode distortion/waveshaper on the gui. Where is it?
It's in the filter section for the filter overdrive. I'm not on my studio computer, but I think there's also more distortion on the effects for each layer and for the main mix.
pdxindy wrote:From what I am seeing, it looks like each layer can have a single effect so it is not possible to put say a chorus and a delay on a layer. Is this so? Or am I missing something?
Hmm, I think you're right. I'm pretty sure the beta I used had two, maybe they thought the additional FX created too much CPU overhead? (I have no idea)
pdxindy wrote:Looks like up top there is a global eq (lo, mid, high) and above that is an edit button, what does that do?
Uh, what do 3-band EQs usually do? :hihi:
Fyi, Gladiator also has a 3-band EQ.
pdxindy wrote:On the settings LCD, the is a parameter that says high quality... what are the other options?
I don't remember exactly, but there's also like an "economy" or "draft" mode (forget what it was called), plus a couple of other modes that might have been experimental.

That's all you get, I'm on lunchbreak at work :hihi: At least until I get home and see if the beta still works..
noise and beats: Negutyv Xeiro do people actually click these?

Demo songs usually never show the real capabilities. When i stack to saw waves in one octave interval and will adjust Filter and Volume envelopes and make it without any effects added, then i clearly see how quality it is. Well, and basic sine wave which are then cutoff modulated(really fast) can give me the right impression.

Demo the sound, man -- DEMO it!!! :hihi:

(Seriously, I haven't bought a single synth because of a demo. I often do my best to ignore them, unless they're absolutely SPECTACULAR creations in their own right. :D)

I have absolutely no interest in AUDIO demos...........But I would sleep with a really fat girl without the benefit of Tequila just to get the Synth Demo............. :hihi:

I read that as you are actually partial to "really fat girls" but too cheap to buy the Tequila to attract them.

No way is this thread heading in this direction because there is no demo sounds or demo, demo Gladiator and imagine it is ElectraX.

Ha! I was wondering what the edit button above the eq does... (I know what the eq does :hihi: )

and thanks for the other answers...
