Thanks pdxindy for your permanently kind attitude to the synth, I don't think you will be disappointed!

Hey Giusmex,
It isn't a stupid question at all, so no worries. Patches are stored in the following folder:
%My Documents Folder%\Diversion\Library\Synth Presets\
If you will have any questions feel free to ask any time

Hi Kriminal, for now I don't know which would be better, either cut-down version or hidable GUI, but I'll think of it for sure.
johnnyvn, I'll be working on Mac version.

Here is a little thingy that I learned. You can actually do Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) using a small trick in Diversion. PWM gives that beautiful phasing coloring that you find often in some vintage synths.
The main idea is: two saw tooths, one of them inverted, will produce a square. If you modulate the phase of one of them and fix the other, you get PWM. Here are steps to do it:
1. Start from an empty preset. Set treble to [Normal]
2. Disable (un-press) the [FREE] button in both OSC1 and OSC3.
3. Enable (press) [INVERT] on OSC 3. (now if you press a key you will hear no sound since the two OSCs reverse each other)
4. Turn the [PHASE] knob of OSC1 to 12:00 o'clock.
4. Modulate [PHASE] knob of OSC1 using LFO1. But don't let the modulation reach 100 because this will kill the sound to silence at the ends.
Here is a patch to show what I mean.

Thanks Dmitry, I actually learned that while reading some documentation. I did not believe until I tried it. I could actually see the modulated pulse clearly with a signal analyzer.

I just wanted to say I finally had a chance to spend a little time with this monster last night and what a monster it is! Very crisp and modern sounding. Nice to see a developer release something that's not trying to be "vintage" sounding but still trying to have a very high quality sound.
How does this instrument go under the radar? It's a bit CPU hungry as the developer explains very clearly, but I was still able to use it to good effect on my old dual Core Duo II 2.5 meghz machine. The sounds that pushed the limits were the pads, but they were mostly huge enough to not need more than a note or two.

Thanks Zerocrossing! I was aware that not analogue-modeled synths are risky to develop today, but I could not resist as far as I love good "digital" synths, if it is a right word for it. Without such synths sound design might have less color than it has. So I built this plugin and it proved to be not as vain as I was afraid of. There is a certain sort of user's interest to it. At least we are still alive and moving forward
It really inspires me when the plugin got as it is. Thanks Zerocrossing and all who support me and plugin!

I have the Diversions CM edition, nice FX. I'd also like to point out that there was an issue with the DVD, I had a good experience getting the working copy in order, just wanted to point that out to any potential buyers out there.

I should have also mentioned that a big part of the fun of playing with the demo was the excellent sound design in all the factory patches.sches wrote:Thanks Zerocrossing! Hey guys, good news: Joakim Forslund (SC - http://soundcloud.com/syrou) was so kind to share for free a big soundset of 100 patches. The sounds are very cool, made for Dubstep/Electro. There are both harsh and gentle sounds, don't miss it:

Thanks Joakim for the excellent job!
