This thread is a great testament to those taking part. I can't help wondering at the absence of some of the bigger names in the computer music world... where are Sony, Cakewalk, Apple, Motu, Izotope, Project Sam? Is it out of order of me to ask this "out loud"?

Oh well then Ableton, Avid, and so on.... and so many others... better think about who's in than who's out, no?

It is okay to ask it out loud. I have contacted a lot of developers, many of them chooses to contribute to the charity while a few have told me they do not want to participate due to various reasons - they might already be donating to charities elsewhere or there are other circumstances. I respect whatever reason developers have for not donating, as long as they at least reply to my email. It is okay to say no.dredd i knight wrote:This thread is a great testament to those taking part. Then there are companies who choose to completely ignore my emails or otherwise decides not to get back to me, Izotope and Ableton (of the ones mentioned above) are in that category. I wrote them both twice but... I defend them by thinking they might be busy or discussing it on a higher level, so who knows if they will get back to me later. They didn't last year though.

Thanks for the info. For what it's worth I contacted both Sony and Izotope, about what you were doing here... You impress me, and it's humbling to see the amount of effort you are putting into this; respect.Luftrum wrote: It is okay to ask it out loud. Has LennarDigital been contacted about participating? A couple Sylenth1 licenses would be tasty (even if NFR).. I'd be bidding big on one!
