good suggestionsfluffy_little_something wrote:I think the multi-core option should also be stored in the preferences as people will probably always use the same setting (either on or off), just like with GUI size etc.
Repro 5 should also have the Init option when right-clicking the display, the way Repro 1 does. Especially since the drop-preset menu from the display doesn't seem to respond to the mousewheel. So I have to scroll down all the way with the help of the arrow at the bottom of the menu.

OK, just checked, yes, it seems the init patch disappears from the top of the list (where it should always be) when selecting a patch from any other sub-folder. Instead it moves to the bottom of the list.EvilDragon wrote:Repro-5 does have init option when right-clicking the display. It just depends on which folder you've selected, they all show up in that list.fluffy_little_something wrote:Repro 5 should also have the Init option when right-clicking the display, the way Repro 1 does. When that folder contains lots of patches, scrolling down by clicking the arrow can take a long time, perceived eternity
I am also not so sure about the init patch itself. I don't think an init patch should have two active oscillators for instance.

So, make your own? Call it Default.h2p and Repro will always open with that patch. (Same thing is valid for all other u-he plugins!)fluffy_little_something wrote:I am also not so sure about the init patch itself. I don't think an init patch should have two active oscillators for instance.

Interesting. I am not so familiar with the U-he plugins...EvilDragon wrote:So, make your own? Call it Default.h2p and Repro will always open with that patch. And where do I put it? In the User folder?

Needs to go to the root of Presets folder. Not in UserPresets.

This has been discussed quite a bit already, the reason it's not a preference is that there are circumstances in busy projects where the multi-core will actually harm performance. Turning it on actually adds a bit of overhead to one of the cores, so if you're running a few instances in a project with lots of other stuff (where your DAW is already doing a decent job distributing CPU load across the multiple cores), the multi-core option in RePro-5 could actually degrade performance. They don't want users forgetting about it and instead want them to make a conscious effort to turn it on or off. Hence why it's not a preference.fluffy_little_something wrote:With some knobs the mousewheel does steps of 1, with others steps of 4, so why didn't you configure the Frequency and global Tune knobs to do full semitones instead of 0.4?
However...you could always save a default preset in your DAW with it on.

Conscious effort? Do people even think about that option?
It's not like we are prompted to make that decision...
And when you use more than one instance, is it a bad idea to have MC support on on some and off on other instances?

I can't. Have to get Reaper and even Wavestation first. Also, both being subtractive, there is a lot of overlap between Repro and Sylenth1, although the latter does not sound as good, of courseCinebient wrote:C´mon......give me your soul.....and buy Repro. I'm a little surprised, given your eyes, that you'd be getting Wavestation. You do realize that the GUI is microscopic. Combine that with how complex it is to program and it's literally impossible to work with. I owned a Wavestation for over 25 years and I loved it. And I'd love nothing more than to be able to program this thing. But that's not happening until they increase the GUI size.fluffy_little_something wrote:I can't.
