Why the new account system and the need to repurchase? Did the go the challenge/response route?pough wrote: Sat Jun 15, 2024 3:29 pm Just a heads up (if you didn't get an email from them) that the new PotenzaDSP website is live, including a newsletter signup and a user account system. You have to re-purchase any plugins (they sent me a coupon to make them free) to get the plugins into your account.

I don't recall there being any old account system. They've moved away from Payhip to something they have more and better control over.audiojunkie wrote: Sat Jun 15, 2024 3:36 pm Why the new account system and the need to repurchase? Did the go the challenge/response route?
There doesn't seem to be any copy protection at all, not even a serial number.
You can probably make an account and email them to associate your old purchases with it, but it seems simple enough to just go through the cart and pay nothing. Or pay something, since their prices are so low. Amigo is a steal at double the price.
Surely there must be consensus by now...

Just register an account using the email address you bought Amigo with. Then you can apply the code 'payhipamigo' to another purchase to get it free. Bit clunky but only takes a sec.

Unfortunately the activation email isn't arriving here. It's not in Spam. I think my provider catches some emails it thinks are spam and doesn't send them to the account. It's happened with a number of sites.Vortifex wrote: Sat Jun 15, 2024 4:19 pm Just register an account using the email address you bought Amigo with. If nothing turns up I'll need to email them. It's incredibly frustrating but it happens with a number of sites.

What's your provider? I used Gmail and got the registration email immediately. Is it Tutanota? They're notorious for deleting messages they deem to be spam.ChamomileShark wrote: Sat Jun 15, 2024 4:35 pm Unfortunately the activation email isn't arriving here. It's not in Spam. No, it's BT. I've found that Gmail doesn't have the same issue..I have two user IDs on a health forum, one using BT internet, the other Gmail. The Gmail one gets notifications, the BT one doesn't.
Tried whitelisting them, still nothing.

I really hope not. Current version - 1.0.2 is without copy protection, but in the email I've got from them after the re-purchase there is a serial number included and it's also mentioned that it "can be used 3 time(s)". So maybe they are planing to add C/R activation in the next version
Let's hope it will be just a simple serial and not C/R

I had a reply from Dario re the activation email issue last night. I've only just had time to try it.
You need to create an account using an alternative email. In my case that was a gmail account. I then got the activation email and set up my account using that new email. I then started the purchase process and replaced the new gmail email address with original email I'd use to make my purchase and added in the voucher.
That worked and I'm back up and running.

I don't think they can. I've had this happen countless times with a number of sites, including some quite large commercial ones. ISPs decide they don't like the look of some emails and simply delete them. Gmail seems to be one of the better ones in that respect.Caine123 wrote: Sun Jun 16, 2024 12:00 pm no fan when they change the copy shit. also i registered and didnt get a mail, i wont set up a new mail account. they should solve this themselves first.
