Yes, that's how it should be done, drag and drop sfz onto the sampler (keyboard), that shows the zones.sacer wrote:

Last version is fine, just try it.wagtunes wrote:Regardless. If you're using 1.0.29, which is what I was using, and worked perfectly fine with the key file, it no longer works.woodsdenis wrote:The release version was never ever on elicenser !!!!!!! always a key file.wagtunes wrote:Avenger swtiched from eLicenser to key file. However, key file no longer works with old version of Avenger. You are forced to upgrade to the new version.Razzia wrote:Wait... your... eLicenser?wagtunes wrote:Additional information. The eLicenser says my license expired on 1/29/2017.
If you think this stuff makes customers fans of your company, you're mistaken. It should not be this difficult to validate a legitimate license. The few products that I have that did make me go through the re-validation process were quick and relatively easy. This one seems to have a serious flaw in it.
Why?
Going back to my original email after purchase, I went through the same process again. I took my activation code and went to register.vps-avenger.com and tried to register it. But it gave me an error, probably because it's already been registered. Okay, so I downloaded the keyfile again and tried to import it. I did and it said product activated and instructed me to reload. When I reloaded it, it said it's not activated.
So as you can see, there is something very messed up with your activation process if somebody makes even the smallest change to their computer. I didn't have this problem with any other product. Just yours.
Now please FIX THIS!!!
Is Avenger even on eLicenser? I'm at work and can't currently check if Avenger made some kind of soft eLicenser key on my eLCC, but I was under the impression it was just a basic keyfile. No...?
I know for a fact I didn't import any keyfile into my eLCC. Just loaded it from the validation screen on the plug. Have I missed part of this convo, and you're talking about other VPS plugs?
That's all I care about is being forced to go to 1.0.34

For all I sympathise with people having cpu problems (if I could ever sympathise with a mac user
), goleat's post of the Avenger v Serum video a few pages back clearly shows that Avenger is the better cpu peformer by a mile.
And I like the no-nonsense approach of this video - fast and to the point every time.
There's also a part 1 of audio digital's comparitive review for those who're interested.

Anyone else get CPU Spikes when tweaking the orcs partials like shown here, please.
I have macOS 10.12.2 and I have tested it under Logic X and Maschine, both latest version :
just curious

Seems to be a specific problem from macOS.

Last week I said that I had problems with the last update of Avenger, but I was wrong. Without realizing it, I opened Avenger x64 in FL Studio 32-bit (bridge mode), which caused a high CPU consumption.
Apparently so far, Avenger 1.0.34 seems to be a stable version. They have done a very good job, my congratulations.
On the other hand, I was wondering if they plan to add filtering in parallel mode, the ability to use the FFT editor in samples (it's possible?) and the ability to see the modulation matrix in a larger editor (like what they did with the equalizer). Thanks!

Not the way I find it on my older iMac (2011). Serum works just fine but Avenger brought my system to a grinding, painful standstill like nothing I have ever seen. I am also quite happily using DIVA, Omnisphere 2, Repro-1 and a whole lot more, but Avenger??? Not a chance.kevvvvv wrote:For all I sympathise with people having cpu problems (if I could ever sympathise with a mac user), goleat's post of the Avenger v Serum video a few pages back clearly shows that Avenger is the better cpu peformer by a mile.

That's strange, taking into considering those two part reviews posted earlier showed Serum consuming much more CPU cycles than Avenger (at least when using raw oscillators with no effects). Maybe that performance is platform specific. Beats me..jacqueslacouth wrote:Not the way I find it on my older iMac (2011). I'm on Windows 10 and Studio one 3.3.x. The most it seems to spike is about 10-15% max.ansolas wrote:Anyone else get CPU Spikes when tweaking the orcs partials like shown here, please.

BUG 1:
I have an issue with the latest Avenger version in which I open a previously created project in Live and Avenger produces no sound (well, it makes a very faint thump) until I display the GUI for the first time, and then all works fine. It doesn't do this for all presets though.
BA Dubstep Monster 4 (from the Factory Presets) exhibits this issue.
EDIT:
BUG 2:
Additionally, it looks like when selecting a preset and then clicking on the Waveform dropdown, the current waveform folder location is no longer highlighted (bullet point placed next to the folder name). If a new (or the same waveform) is selected, then the bullet point does appear.

There is quite a huge performance problem with this synth - end of discussion! Maybe it's only like this on Mac, I don't know.
Please report your bugs directly to keilworthaudio, he is very kind.
Also different cpu meters actually show different info. What you need is a meter that shows cpu_spikes_. E.g. Renoise cpu Meter. The window process viewer won't work.

Well what do you know? I thought I might give Avenger another crack since the disaster on my iMac when it was first released. For my money, they must have made significant improvements with regards to performance. It is singing along nicely at cpu usage of around 9 to 15% on most patches. Now I just have to wait on my new credit card since todays fraud attempts have canned the card, so I have 2 days until the new one arrives and I can purchase this. Sounds really nice.
