This is how Bitwig works. It's so much more convenient for midi controlled FX as well as filter FX with envelopes like the Drop. If you don't want the same midi notes to subsequent devices you can always set a note filter before a given devices in a rack/chain. I'd like to see Ableton do this too. Not even sure how I'd do this in Ableton in a single track. Maybe some kind of rack set up or container like Freestyle.andy-cytomic wrote: Mon Jul 21, 2025 5:16 am PS: quite a long time ago I asked Ableton to automatically send the same midi that a synth gets to any effects post synth that can accept midi, which would simplify this arrangement somewhat by not needing all the extra midi channels to do this mapping.

If you overlay any plugin interface on top of your plugin interface and use scroll wheel (for example, Pro-Q on top of Glue) at where the Glue knobs are supposed to be, then it will actually change the Glue knobs value instead of Pro-Q, making the Pro-Q not response to scroll wheel. Happens in both Ableton and FL, seems to be exclusive to your products.

I'm using the Juce framework for the UI, so I don't really do anything custom in this regard. Can you please email support@cytomic.com with full details as outlined here: https://cytomic.com/contact/jtsterays wrote: Tue Aug 05, 2025 2:15 pm If you overlay any plugin interface on top of your plugin interface and use scroll wheel (for example, Pro-Q on top of Glue) at where the Glue knobs are supposed to be, then it will actually change the Glue knobs value instead of Pro-Q, making the Pro-Q not response to scroll wheel. (edit: I've done a quick test with Ableton Live v12.2.1 on macOS Sonoma 14.7.6 with multiple plugins: Valhalla, U-He, UAD, Xfer, etc and I cannot reproduce this behaviour. It's not ideal to try and do support via forums, there are so many details required, possibly file attachments of screenshots needed etc, so email support@cytomic.com so we sort this out)

You're right, I shouldn't have posted this on the forum, I sent the email.andy-cytomic wrote: Wed Aug 06, 2025 12:07 amI'm using the Juce framework for the UI, so I don't really do anything custom in this regard. Thanks for emailing with the extra info. I'm still looking into the issue but will report back when I know more. For anyone here this looks like a Windows specific issue with scroll wheel, but I don't know more than that just yet.jtsterays wrote: Wed Aug 06, 2025 2:50 am You're right, I shouldn't have posted this on the forum, I sent the email.

I tried it, not happening for me under win 11, live and FL latest versions.
Interestingly, the scroll wheel doesn't scroll for me at all with the Drop, though it works with FF stuff... It will operate the knob in the Drop if I hold it down like a button, but it doesn't scroll...
Anyway, just sayin...
