Notes are there, PB too, not the other controllers (for vibrato, but more importantly : expression).

Ah ah you've officially been pimped !

It starts off as an electric guitar, then an aggressive trumpet, and then at the end, you can clearly hear a train hitting the brakes in a tunnel.

peeeemped.

i'm thinking guido could do a lead guitar/guitar solo vsti because theres a thing where you pick the note and then just slide your left hand finger to another fret, a slur. Physical models are good at slurs and a lot of times that helps in realism.

not that im sayin that track sounds like guitar but theres an aspect of the slurring that , to me, hints at what could be done there.

i know i know its miles off topic, heh.

lol

Nice er, guitar playing/trumpet playing...

The disclaimer would be that wx5 is a lot like electric flutophone, it is NOT hard to play :hihi: , and then factor those licks are the easy licks to because of how the keys are setup. its axploitation.

Now I didn't see that coming, I think you're onto something though... maybe if it got tweaked some more by our overworked and underpaid programmer we might have the next Eddie Van-Scream' vsti

The part where it gets less realistic as a guitar, is when notes are being played really fast with a milder attack, where your brain would interpret it as a succession of Hammer-ons/Pulling-offs (legato playing), but it fails to because of the non-fixed nature of the pitch (and bends wouldn't be naturally played all over the place at this speed, and whammy bar would sound a tad different). For instance it's really realistic at the beginning, but after 0:06 and the octave change (with generous pitch bending it seems) it's giveaway time.

But pretty amazing for an unintended side effect ! Not to mention the cool screetching effects right at the beginning that you wouldn't find so flexible in any sample library I think.

So yes, I agree with Tony, and I say this as a guitar player, Guido is really close to nailing that one too... well at least this particular shredding sound !

Tuz & Tony those are laugh-out-loud fun to listen to!

its the audio equivalent of spitballing. definately not serious work.

nobody really has made a 6 midi channel 6 way monolegato capable vsti that a midi guitar would be friendly with. i think physical modeling the 6 strings as mono instruments that can slur and inflect would be awesome.
