Er, komplete 8? What is it with you?

Anyways, back to the product, the only major update that I can see is battery 4. Including monark was pretty obvious that it was going to happen. I guess there are more things included depending on the version but I think people prolly were hoping for some product updates. Stuff to get excited about.

Battery with no seq option represents the same failings for me - I hate programming drums in a piano roll. New GUI, same bollocksy workflow. Can't see why I'd want Monark when I have Diva. The Giant is a big 'meh'. The Solid Mix series is a nice bonus. I could see people being wowed upgrading from 6 or 7. But with no updates to FM8, Kontakt, Reaktor or GR, I can't see this being of much value for me, even at just $149. Plus, I'll end up with another NI duplicate in the form of Session Strings. Think I'll wait for a sale or K10. YMMV

I don't see the big deal about battery 4. I think I misspoke when I said "major" update before

Kinda hard to tell with the site though. A video explaining all the new features would be great.

149 is the upgrade from 8 to 9, or am I misreading something?

Ok, at 149, I'll be in. I didn't realize solid mix would be included. That's worth the upgrade price right there.

Another Minimoog emulation? I was really hoping they'd do something different. I already have so much of K9U that it almost seems silly to upgrade. They don't allow the selling of the 3rd party sample libraries (West Africa, Damage, Galmelan, etc), right?

I've been holding myself off buying Komplete 8 with the sale hoping the prices for the crossgrades would be the same.
I recently bought myself a Maschine and the Komplete 9 Ultimate for 749 looks like a sweet deal.
Guess I'll be preordering.

Amazing deal! I will not go for it though because I have hardly even gone through Komplete 7. However it has a lot of the things I was hoping for.
