I believe not - but afair they DO know each other well - why do you ask ???
Sound quality... Country... Never seen them together on this forum.
I've already think of that... And this month, captain mark said he would enter and nothing... Except a Emil-A-man entry...

methinks ixox reads too much tintin

Ixox wrote:Garret : The first time i listened to it, i thought this was going to be the first Garret song i don't like. I was wrong, after several times i really LOVE it !
Thanks, Ixox... 8) I actually feel the same way. Writing this tune was a bit of a struggle.. never did like the thing while I was writing it, and I tried to can it two or three times (to no avail... I kept waking up with the melody in my head again).

So I think it's a solid tune but not my most accessible... that's good to know...

P.S. Regarding the inbox/sent/outbox stuff. I think messages stay in your Outbox until someone opens and reads them. Then they move to Sent.

Hypothetically speaking:

Would it be wrong if someone had two usernames, but:
A) Only submitted one song per month.
B) Only voted once per month.

I have another personality that I'd like to try out!
:) :) :)

Post

as long as you declare who you are i dont see a problem tbh

No. We have met in real life and he is very definitely somebody else!

Sound quality? Is that a compliment or an insult? (haha! Actually I really like his stuff.)

Country? I can't play Country, though I did once own a banjo.

Never together? Well we have been, indeed I hosted his first competition entry.

And this month... well, I must apologise to my loyal fans, but I just didn't find the time - I had some film music to do and I had to fly about a bit. But rest assured, I'll be back soon with more CurryPop nonsense.
...well officer, it was like this...

I did an under the wire voting earlier this evening. I guess with the blind voting I sorta almost forgot to put out my votes:

My eleven including the top 5:

Multree - Shane Saunders - Emerald Tablet - Thomasc-dk - Willkoryte - Sleek Month - Ixox - Garret - You TM - Donkey Tugger - Beardedone

Based my voting on 'complete' songs this month.

It has been said before, the quality is tremendous, I am just glad to be part of it.

Top ten in random/mysterious order:

Markleford-cello thingy-again with the excellent arranging, but where does it go? Way cool intervalic stuff...is this a program or step by step, he wondered...

Krokz-zarox-f**king Klingon naming convention aside, a pleasant enough bit of machine stuff...'80's movie music. Wayyy too long, or did I download the wrong thing?

Beardo-jazzy thing-made it past the "fusion filter" on the well-done scholarship...fm sounds...again with the '80's...

Dr.X-family-kinda creeps me out, but I like it, out of tune vox and all. Nice feel...very warmish.

lunarsound-Nossy-Very nice. An instrumental that actually gets to the point. For once. Nice and large with eerie sounds. I'd be happy to watch a bad horror film to this.

Plunge-pulse-Drums are a bit anti-groove-halting, but I love the wahish lead synth...with the right loop behind it this'd be great...

Tenneseevic-Fly-sounds great...a little "synthy" (Strings and horns), but I kinda like the unnatural sounds set against the organic performance. Wish it had a nice big-band vocal.

UTM-Hail mary-Nice warm sound, good vox...sounds very hip. Love the portamento, but then, who doesn't :hihi: ...vocal level varies perhaps too much.

donkeyT.-nonfcktional-Make the bass louder, put some more dynamics in the drum programming, (Nothing seems to accent), and I'm sold.

Ixox-French stuff :hihi:-Hey, no fair using a girl! Bastard! Really nice, though. No points off for using the wrong language.

Other thoughts:

Street hip-hop sounded like a lotta fun to do.

Multree's thing-don't know what to do with this one. Didn't seem to have any vsti's at all..I know, I know, I'm one to talk, but I usaully have three or four going on my stuff, even if it doesn't jump out at ya...

Modelled guitars- man, I hate that sound. There were a couple this month with that stuff, and it makes my skin crawl...sorry!

OGG Files- a massive failure here...my WMP9 won't play them...I didn't even notice they'd been skipped until after I'd figured out my votes...I'm not gonna download more players...sorry.

Thanks, Sleek Month. I really appreciate it.

voting was damn hard this month -- even getting to the short-list was difficult

my HMs are implied in my previous inane but sincere comments

thanks Rob and Markleford for your time running the contests

what are you talking about.... I loaded the guitar and vocal wave files into battery and triggered them via my M-Tron which went thru an audio2midi convertor

@Mystahr thanks a lot... I'm honoured

Thanks, Sleek Month. I really appreciate it.
You were one of the oggies, weren't you?

My apologies. Sincerely.

I'm happy with the winmediaplayer, and I really don't want to install other players, because it'll get like on my old computer where several players were vying for file associations and you were never sure what bizarre program was going to open up to play a given file :?

...I did check at the WMP site to see if there was a plug-in or codec to enable ogg files, but I didn't find one...

Oh. I stand corrected.

...it still didn't have anything that sounded enough like a virus to make my list, though :hihi:
