While we're on the subject are there any more AT3 amp models, cab sims or stomp boxes on the horizon?

I just opened up Amplitube 3 free to check my gear credits and was told my Custom Shop client is out of date. Will installing the client update effect any of my TRacks or CSR plugins (or Sampletank 2)?

Your plugins will not be affected. What the update does is adds the T-RackS section to the Custom Shop, including Gear Restore which automatically installs all T-RackS processors you own as Singles.Teksonik wrote:I just opened up Amplitube 3 free to check my gear credits and was told my Custom Shop client is out of date. Yes, there is new AmpliTube gear on the horizon. Not a ton, but a nice handful. All of these models have been popular requests. I say this knowing full well that at some point an irate user on KVR is going to quote me and dispute just how many virtual models can fit in a hand...

Thanks Brian. I've been holding off installing the free version of TRacks 3 CS because I don't want to screw anything up....all is working perfectly here now and due to the pain pills I've been on for the last week or so my head is not real clear. I'm afraid I'll do something wrong and mess up my TRacks/CSR plugins so I'll just wait on updating AT3's Custom Shop for a few days as well.......Brian @ IK Multimedia wrote:Your plugins will not be affected. Looking forward to any new AT3 gear.I've got credits burning a hole in my pocket and don't worry.....more than a handful is a waste anyway.......

While it has been explained a few times so far, I will go over how the Custom Shop and upgrades of EXISTING T-RackS 3 gear works -
The T-RackS gear you already own is automatically upgraded by T-RackS Custom Shop. T-RackS Custom Shop is available to you as a free download waiting for you right now in your User Area.
To upgrade your Black 76 & White 2A with the full transformer modeling, upgrade your CSR to 64-bit, etc, simply download the T-RackS Custom Shop installer from your user area, and then go to "Restore My Gear" in the updated Authorization Manager.
Your existing versions will remain, as will your existing T-RackS 3 & CSR registrations. The new versions will not conflict with your existing versions. To update your existing songs & projects, you will need to save your settings as presets, then load the T-RackS CS versions in your tracks and load your saved settings.
Your old T-RackS and CSR registrations are not replaced by the new T-RackS CS versions. They will remain intact as is. Instead, the models you have previously purchased will be unlocked automatically and free of charge within T-RackS CS. So in essence, you retain your old software registration in the original form, and you get a complimentary unlocking of that gear in the new Custom Shop version in addition. T-RackS 3 NFRs will remain T-RackS 3 NFRs, but you do get these models unlocked in T-RackS CS. You can continue to use the T-RackS 3 versions along side T-RackS CS, if you wish. The old installers and authorizations will remain available in your User Area just as they were prior to the release of T-RackS Custom Shop.
If you sell your T-RackS 3 or CSR software, then those models will NOT be available to you in T-RackS CS. Only gear you currently have registered to your User Accont is available unlocked.

Well I don't want you to get your hopes up here only to see them dashed. A treble booster is not among the new gear, though I have put that one in the suggestion box.Kontrast13 wrote:You son of a gun... we're finally going to get a treble booster aren't we?I wonder what else...
The new gear is something of a slight return to an old theme for us.

Ahh shucky darn~ No big deal though, still got Distorque's RangeBastard at the start of my chain when I need it
*tips hat at Distorque*
That's an interesting hint. Not gonna pretend otherwise, I like the fact it's going to be a surprise more than I like knowing what's coming. Mystery makes everything funner~
Back to T-RackS though... *goes to experiment*

So I've asked a simple question multiple times, and not only have I not got any response or even any acknowledgement that my question was read, but apparently they refuse to answer this question.
And I found this out indirectly, in response to someone else's questions about license transfers. I mean, at least my question should have been acknowledged, and a simple "please contact support" would've been nice.
When I bought into the Deluxe group buy, the IK reps here were literally stepping over each other discussing various questions, including a question I had regarding license transfers. So the sudden silence and policy of not discussing license transfers here, seems very convenient to me.
No thanks IK, but no company is gonna get my money if it can't respect its customers.

maschinelf, when I wrote my response, your question was one of the primary ones I was responding to. I didn't address you directly because it was meant for general info for anyone else as well.
The salient point I was making was that T-RackS Custom Shop is really an additional free software license that compliments and expands your existing licenses rather than superseding them.
We now sell new T-RackS Custom Shop based packages (Classic, Deluxe, and Grand) in place of the old T-RackS 3 packages. But these are just different ways of selling packages of T-RackS processor licenses. The T-RackS licenses you obtained are still valid in their original T-RackS 3 form, and are also honored in the updated T-RackS Custom Shop free of any upgrade charge.
Purchasing an upgrade package is necessary only to expand what you already have with the full T-RackS CS 16 processors (CSR isn't included.) However, you can purchase the T-RackS CS Grand Upgrade at the special upgrade price, and that will give you all new licenses for all 16 T-RackS CS processors. At that point your T-RackS processor licenses won't be dependent on your existing T-RackS 3 licenses.

How some can moan about just everything is unbelievable.
The prices are not OK, although if you buy 80 creds pack, the singles's price has slightly lowered (79,99€ -> 63,99€ except the SSL).
Not even OK using the Credits which have been GIFTED to you during the group buy: NO, after buying 4x1, equalling a 75% discount there MUST be bundles available - WTF, IK, how can this be fair if I cannot buy with a 90% discount! No, wait, I want it FREE.
The installer size is also not OK - 165MB. Although it contains Deluxe (97MB), Black & White (35MB + 35MB), CSR and 5 new units. The Shell is not OK, of course, though has always been there for Standard and Deluxe users... OK, OK, now you must install it, but you also have the possiblity to use standalone plugins: you still have it on your HD, yes, but it's not a symphonic 30GB library. It barely makes any difference even on a small SSD (which I do have).
IK didn't break backwards compatibility, as you can have installed the 3.5.1 versions alongside the CS. It appears that the more they listen to customers, the more whine (on KVR, at least)

Pretty sure this must have been asked before, but I'm not actively monitoring both the IKM threads (just skimming)... simple answer please, I'm not keen to do special hoop jumping copying and pasting and stuff (atm, but will do if it is required, later):
Can the new B & W modules be used without the shell as with the previous version?
