One day while reading a copy for CM it suddenly dawned on me, more than not, these days I'm not actually learning much new from my CM sub. Not downplaying CM, wouldn't dream of it, but I seem to see with people a point where they kinda outgrow the monthly CM. Anyone else experienced that? These days I just buy a copy if there's something specific that they're covering (ne DAW releases that are still under wraps maybe at the time of "print" and so on...).
off topic, but I agree with you here. I started with CM1 and after about 3 years, decided there was only so many things they talk about (the compression issue, the eq issue, the mastering issue, the mixing issue, the creative effects issue). So I stopped subscribing.
I did last year re-subscribe, much like SOS I like reading the interviews with artists, even when they are not genres I listen to.

Back on topic, I found the Bias Amp better quality and more useful than the Bias FX (and the free distortion pack). I'm unlikely to purchase it and will probably delete it in a month or two. (given the plethora of other amp software I have).

But I am liking this Focusrite plugin collective.
I never subbed. I was buying them at the local Fry's on a semi regular basis for a while, but it was more an impulse purchase than anything. Like most here I only buy them now to pick up some specific plugin, e.g., the focusrite suite last year.

Here's the thing.. In general, most magazines are aimed at beginners. It's by far the biggest 'group' who go out and spend money on a pamphlet about something they're interested in. All it means is that you're no longer a beginner :tu:

Have been getting them from Zinio for less than $1 a piece. Look out for those 70% off sub sales.

Interesting. My Focusrite page still shows the NUGEN offer (which never worked for me), even though I've cleared the cache, logged out and logged back in again.

Oh well...maybe tomorrow!

Here's some of my stuff: https://soundcloud.com/shadowsoflife. If you hear something you like, I'm looking for collaborators.

If it's Vielklang LE, it's been free as magware a few times if I remember well.

Curious to know this too. I don't think the CM one requires creating an account at zplane or any form of activation/registration.

Here we go:
Lee CM wrote: The CM version is not the same as LE.

In the CM version:

1. Only the following harmonization modes are available:
a. 4 voiced intelligent
b. 3 voiced intelligent
c. 2 voiced intelligent
d. Parallel

2. The voice order in '4/3/2 voiced intelligent' harmonization mode is not
editable

3. Scales are Major, Aeolic Minor and Harmonic Minor – LE and full version have more

The registered LE version lets you upgrade to the full version for $69.

anyone else getting a virus alert on the installer? Everytime I click on thie installer I get a message about me not having permissions or the file path is wrong and then my Panda anti-virus immediately grabs it and it's gone.

I've not had this happen with any other installer and i've installed hundreds of vsts
