I have crosschecked the same thing with 1.0.5 and it is clean in 1.0.5.
It happens on Waveforms oscillator also in saw shape, not so apparent as with analog saw, but it is there.
I will try to make a new patch showing the problem and upload.

Post

Hmmm, thats very strange. In a new patch everything works fine on both versions. The patch I made all tests is Heavy Bass, which now it does not work anymore, although the Heavy Bass.Bass.Factory._.0.Program.xml has last change time 24/2/2017. No sound when loading it and the CPU spikes to 50% without any notes playing.

Edit: Hmmmm it seems that Reaper is acting up.... Now everything works  Sorry for the trouble :?
Really love this synth and with every update it is getting better and better. :tu:
Some more suggestions if you please:
1) when you press save, I would prefer if it warns you to overwrite an already existing preset
2) it would be great if you could route each channel (L+R) seperately (maybe an "effect" that splits stereo to mono?)
3) Pan knob on the filters in addition to the oscillators sometimes is useful (e.g. you can have 1 oscillator routed to 2 filters in parallel and have each filter panned differently)
4) Copy/paste a module would also VERYYYY useful

I am so happy with this synth, I cant stop fiddling with it

thanks for the update

Post

Yes, that's correct for updates, thanks!

Aha! Reaper! If it happens again bounce the track, export and email me the wav, so I can hear it.

I need to create a release tonight 1.0.7 to quickly fix an envelope timing issue.

So if you can trap it again and you want the fix in this build, or if anyone wants an easy change
to go in tonight, post it here.

If anyone has noticed, timing is off for fast Envelopes, and that will be fixed tonight.
I tested it and envelope timing will be absolutely perfect in 1.0.7.

Also, Fathom does not like extremely small sample blocks,
so if Reaper has a setting like FL Studio to use constant size sample blocks,
then try setting that and see what happens.
That fixed a lot of problems in FL Studio,
which was sending Fathom "blocks" of one sample !

After the update basic waveforms block in a preset of mine has no sound.
When I insert a new basic waveforms block there is sound.

I added the preset with the problem:
FM-Growlbass.Bass.RPH.New.10.Program.xml.zip
basicwaveform-nosound.jpg

Rob

Yes, that's a bug, happens for me too.
I'm glad you found that one. It's happening in the new pitch table.
That will be fixed in today's release.
Until then turn Octave back to zero and the sound will come back on.

P.S. That's a cool preset, can you send me the final version when you are done?

Ah ok, looking forward to the fix. :tu:

Thanks!
Sure, can also send the other ones I made. 8)

I found a few bugs in the wavetable audio component, see video:

* On the right side of the parameter view, when I click on pulse I see a line instead of waveform. When I click on the waveform to get to the editor, I see the pulse wave.
* Can't load wavetables, only see normal presets when I goto browser.
* When I click on the saw on the left, the saw seems to flip, but when I enter the editor it's the normal saw.

Feature requests:
* wavetable component: copy / paste wavetables from one side to the other.
* Basic waveform: PWM on all waveforms, or provide the option to flip the waveform ( start negative ) so I can do PWM using a few waveform components.

Cheers,

Rob

PS:
My pulsebass preset used in a short pattern I made.
Two instances of Fathom, one for low bit and the other for soft mid bit ( filtered and reverb added ).

wtf that song rocks! Please email me the wave file so I can post it on the web site.
Also, yes please send your final preset collection so I can include some of them in factory presets.

I just released version 1.0.7 which fixes your bug with the oscillator going silent when the octave dial is moved.
It also fixes a serious bug in the envelope timing, so you will really need that release.

In regard to the video bugs, they are all a function of there being no user manual, which is on me.

1) Clicking on the default pulse button displays a flat waveform.
It is a mathematical pulse and you must turn down the pulse width dial for it to exist,
meaning that if you leave pulse width on 1.00 there will effectively be no pulse.
I will add that to the wave table guide and in the future make the width default to 0.5.

2) Clicking on the graph while default pulse is displayed.
I admit this is confusing. But when you click on the graph you are taken to
the wavedraw editor for the wavedraw waveform at that position
which is not the same as the pulse currently being displayed
at that position. This is because the default pulse can not be edited.

I admit having the default Saw and default Pulse on the left and right is confusing,
but it is necessary because I did not want to add an entirely different oscillator
to perform the standard saw chop with pulse function which otherwise
uses all the same controls as wave morphing.

3) Load Wave and Load Table buttons do nothing.
They work like the program browser in that you have to select something first.
If you select a waveform and click load it will load the waveform into the current index position.
If you select a wave table and click load table it will load the entire table.
But if nothing is selected the buttons do nothing.
In a future release I will have them blacked out until something is selected.

4) You will notice that the default saw is the opposite orientation as the
old oscillator saw. This is a bug on my part since it can cause waveform
cancellation. In the next release I will change the orientation of the
wave table default saw to match the others and eventually provide
mirror and flip buttons for all oscillators.
