Actually, I just re-read this, and it would be an excellent tool in Live!

Could you make it?

Thanks!

:D

P.S. - Some midi plugs like Chord space work in Live.

I'm gonna try to route some of yours to midi yoke and back into Live to see if I can get that to work.
I thought live came with some kind of force to key thing that could spit our random notes?
Anyway I made this alpha a bit back and have been waiting or more feedback to finish it up (been slaking lately :hihi: )

Give it a try. I haven't even thought about how it would be set up in Ableton Live...

Hey Soma!

Finally got to try it.

Had to use EXT with NF's midi out (I guess Live is retarded when it comes to midi).

Works great!

Just one little funny bug, the low key range and hi key range are reversed I think?

But what's cool about sending note #'s is that Live can launch automation, midi, or audio clips (or all 3) from a note #.

Thanks!

I spent last night for getting into Synthmaker a bit while making my very own DrumPad MIDI plug. Anyone who's interested.. here it is. ;)

hey soma,
just wondering if you got around to taking out the midi thru note in your note table plug. i just tried the new version and the midi thru note seems to still play. is there an option to turn it off somewhere?
cheers,
bov

hey soma,
i just checked out 'note table' and the random function is exactly somthing that i've been looking for for a long time. just wondering if there is any way to stop the midi thru note ie. when i play a note, the original and the tabled note both sound. i would be great just to hear the tabled note.
cheers,
bov

Cute!.

Not just for drums, of course, you could also trigger
- MIDI parts in a MIDI Part comp,
- tracks in the Sequencer Live triggering mode,
- LiveSlice arrangements

I'll release a fianl version this week ;)

PS Raw I love the look of that plug. I'll give it a go tonight!

thx guys :)

there were some bugs in the drumpad so i made a new version. please everyone re-download it.. same link.

Bitmud DrumPad

i had problems with "hanging" pads, when i left the pad while holding lmb it was highlighted all the time (no midi problems with this, though - just annoying ;)). also there are problems in the new synthmaker versions which lead to doubled midi-notes so i had to remove the highlighting when using the midi-in.
probably the next version will be posted when those bugs in sm are fixed.

tbh that was the intention why i made it ;) - i had a nice track in the works which was only in the main without a sequencer and wanted to be able to trigger some midi parts with an easy pad but didn't find one on the net.. now i'm a little into synthmaker after 12 hours or something. :hihi:

tbh i only took the SDP from the synthmaker forum (see the readme), ripped off the waveplayers, edited the logic, resized the pads, made some additional boxes and used knobs i also found in the forum ;) - anyway, thank you. :)

wow, haven't been able to have much time for anything audio lately, but just wanted to express thanks to bitmud and soma :)

Hi Y'all

Keep meaning to let youse all know about a little Modular synth I made around E-XT. it's a bunch of little VST/i that are pluggable. Have a looksee on my site - below

Oh and it's free!

Oh and it's called The Capitalist Pig Modular

i couldn't stop, the gui issues in my drumpad just annoyed me. ;) so i was trying to work around the "bug" today until i learned, that i just needed to insert a module which solved everything. :dog: so it wasn't sm's fault but just my noobish idiocy. :hihi:

anyway, here is the final version with pads reacting like in the first version but without the highlighting problem. available at the same link again.

Is there a plug that can have a "Decay" knob that sends out a set note duration on every note on?

Kind of like gate time on drum pads...

Post

wow.. never knew how much work these "little" plugins are ;)
here's another update to the drumpad. i realized that the octave and velocity settings weren't saved with the project so i added this. same link as always ;)

This is a very cool plugin and I think it will get some use here :)
There's still a problem (maybe one of the last little things to fix), one should avoid to click on the pads blindy , i.e. if you by accident click somewhere "between" two buttons , both buttons are highlighted and eXT will crash .
This looks like if the buttons' clickable area is defined as too large (bad programming).
It might have been fixed already in the latest Synthmaker update if I recall this right .

Thanks much, R.A.W.!!, and of course Soma and Benedict (knew only the orange collection which is really nice).
After theory come the plugins, Milan  (thanks again)

Also,

Something that converts aftertouch to a CC#?

Soma & NFs converters stop @ CC # 127 and AT is #131 I think?

Also also, is there a way to convert release velocity into anything useable by synths that don't recognize it?

Thanks!
