Yes there is! Well, it's a symbolic link but i think thats what you mean... Points to Documents/discoDSP which has all the folders and files you need i believe...

Post

The sandbox path seems correct... try checking if there is a duplicate file between

~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Obxd.component

and

Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Obxd.component

and trash the one located at home folder.

Repairing disk permissions with Disk Utility may also help.

Post

I checked for duplicate files, but there are none. I was suspecting permission issues too. I will try that now, thank you for the lightning fast response btw.

Post

It’s very likely to be related to permissions. I checked with a new user account and had no issues.

Post

I just let the program run over both Drives and rebooted, same problem still unfortunately... Is there any way i can grant the needed permissions for the files via terminal, maybe?

Edit: I also just realised that in my screenshot you can see the button and legate images are implemented correctly but main.png fails to load apparently...

Post

You downloaded the latest release from https://www.discodsp.com/obxd/ that was released a few days ago right?

Regarding permissions, the ~/Documents/discoDSP/OB-Xd folder should look like this: Your username (Me) with read & write permissions should be enough to make it work.

Post

Yes I think I downloaded it about 20 times already. No worries you'll get a donation from me soon for your efforts :P or i might just try another few of your plug-ins.

Every folder and subfolder of Documents/discoDSP has these exact permissions. I even tried granting Read & Write for everyone. Don't work. I just tried creating a new user and that did make it work (sigh... apple...) but I would really love to get it to work on my own user so I don't have to migrate all my files...

Post

Thanks. If it works in a new user account it could be something else. I think GarageBand can't see the OB-Xd folder properly because displaying a blank GUI indicates it can actually read the file. Maybe trying this:

Trash ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.garageband10/ folder.
Run GarageBand to create that folder again and close it.
Run OB-Xd installer to apply the aliases.
Run GarageBand to see if everything works as expected.

Post

Alright, I believe this problem may be unexplicable. I just removed every obxd package, deleted all the plugin files & all folders i could find and the garageband folder then rebooted. Launched Garageband to create that folder, reboot. I then reinstalled obxd and rebooted again. Still the same problem keeps persisting.

Post

Try removing ~/Documents/discoDSP/OB-Xd/Skins folder.
It should open with a default GUI at least (not white).

Post

Yes! That did the trick for me with the GUI but I still can't access any banks or programs.

Post

Can't you access AU presets from the drop down menu?

Post

No, this is what it looks like for me now. At least I can make some synths myself now while i see what I'm doing, mine don't sound too good though :D

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Post

The first screenshot makes me think there is something not OK in your home account. Accessing /Library/Audio/Presets/ shouldn't be an issue. Have you tried running Disk Utility and repairing permissions using First Aid?

Post

Yes I have run First Aid via Disk Utility as well as running diskutil resetUserPermissions / `id -u` The Folder /Library/Audio/Presets doesn't include any sounds from obxd though, neither does the one in my User Library.
