Maybe. It seems to be the Voxengo "Mastering EQ" though. It uses too much CPU to be much else. In any case, I didn't like it's sound.

I have an Athlon 4000+ with the Asus A8V mobo. 2 gigs RAM.

You are a lucky man .. :)

I'd say it's mainly targeted as a 'character' EQ which can fit certain situations and instruments but it does work very well for mastering when you use the SoftP mode (none of the others work at all in mastering, imho).

Cheers!

I just tried the Soft P mode and it does seem to sound a bit better. It seems a bit more transparent and less weird on the low end. Still not near the top of my shootout here but Maybe close to Waves though.

10% CPU (athlon 4000+) seems huge for what this thing is though. I can't see using it in a mix.

Cheers!

Cpu usage with version 1.85 doubled on my machine as opposed to v1.83 (from about 23% to around48%).

Win Xp
Samplitude 7.23
Athlon XP 1700
1 GB Ram

I suppose it could be the Pentium optimisations, but it wasn't like this with v1.83.

Post

v1.85, GUI and presets behave in Wavelab 4.01b as expected, finally [I don't mean it in a bad way] :D, and everything works smoother IMO, great job RAL! The only little drawback is that CPU consumption raised a bit, not so drastically on my machine like on sboullion's, but more like from 27% to 30%. Using Athlon XP [with SIMD instructions] on W2K.

Cheeeers! This one diserves a real one!

By the way, this is still the best digital EQ I've heard.I didn't mean to sound like I was complaining,if I did.I already use it on nearly everything I can.I'll just use v1.83 until the Cpu usage comes back down (if it does.If not,I still can't complain!)

Thanks again David, for the greatest freebie ever !
