X-GEAR will ship with StompIO and should be free to all Amplitube-powered software owners for a limited time when it is released.fanfarecircuit wrote:what if i already own amplitube and jimi hendrix? will i be receiving xgear for free?

The email I received from IKMM support said that the current plan was to make it free for all AT software users. I believe this has to do with making MIDI control available to all. This is all just tentative, though.Lunch Money wrote:I thought it was only free if you owned 2 or more of the plugs (thereby, needing the "X" part of "X-Gear") OR StompIO?

Yeah, but X-GEAR isn't available solo until next month, and Amplitube Metal won't be available until March...
...and that is assuming they stick with their latest release schedule.
How often do they do that?

Yeah, IK is back to their old tricks
But hey, it can't be any worse than the amplitube 2/svx fiasco can it? (two winter namms in a row they were announced, then dongled when they came out!!!!!!!)

Here's the link to their NAMM report.

On the NAMM topic, I have a friend that visisted NAMM yesterday and the Peavy booth and apparently they are planning Revalver MKiii for end of March, now how cool is that?
He reported greatly enhanced graphics and interface, some Peavy amps in there as well and more tweak-ability.
At the beginning, I didn't know what to think of that acquisition, now I am thinking it might give the sole developer of Revalver the financial backing to do an even better product.
Oh, and yeah, AT2ME is coming the month after next month!

Perhaps yet another title change for this thread is in order?A3ntar wrote:Oh, and yeah, AT2ME is coming the month after next month!
Did your friend see AT Metal there?
I really want to know what the 4th amp is.
It's supposed to be some kind of Marshall. A JMP 2203, I'm guessing.
Ask him and report back to us ASAP!
Same for the pedals.
Find out if there are any other pedals in Metal that haven't been revealed yet. (Phase 90, anyone?)
