Yes S1 was released about 6 months after the announcement. A pretty good effort to get it out of the door and keep it super stable then as well (for me and still going strong). I had to change my expectations for 1.0 releases after that. S1 was remarkably reliable as a 1.0 release. Pleasantly surprised.LawrenceF wrote:About five months from initial announcement to release. Bitwig is well past that already. They were talking about it publicly last July IIRC even though they weren't showing anything but a teaser image.

Unless I've missed it, I'm surprised nobody has asked if it's the beta team to see how well the re-sale/license transfer system worksttoz wrote:OMG OMG i'm in i've been invited to the beta !!!

These things are not reversible. You now need to provide regular Bitwig beta feedback exclusively for all of us here on KVR as well as 24 hour support for other DAW related issues we deem necessary for you to follow up on.
Oh and...
... you cannot use any other host apart for BWS. Ever.

The preliminary findings of the beta testing team is that it needs more cow bell and 20-40% more pixie dust on the LFOs
Apart from that it's exactly like Live.

Any bets on what hits the shelves first: Bitwig or Live 9?
"are we there yet?"
