You can't buy Ableton 9, it's in beta. And it's not ridiculous, if everything worked right from the start there would be no betas.

Someone care to shed some light on this "pdc" thing? I google it and get a bunch of complaints, but not a way to actually see this to test.

Thanks. So, if you are using live as a scetch pad, and LIVE player and don't futz with automation too much, there isn't anything to worry about? Also, it's correctable for the casual user?

Not a single host that satisfies. EVERY SINGLE ONE has a fatal flaw :dog: I'm literally going crazy.

It is ridiculous, because this has been a continuous shortcoming of live. what seems to be indicated in the beta is that the shortcoming remains even in live9. it's not your stereotypical bug as experienced during a beta. we can of course hope against precedent that it is a bug. imo it would be a huge embarrassment not to have this fixed in live9.

And as Ableton Live nowadays wants to play the role of a DAW they should look into PDC issues and fix them.

Yes, we know its not a bug as it was present in Live 8!!! It a fundamental problem with how Live works, the big hope was that 9 was a complete rewrite for this. 64 bit etc and that was why I took so long.

AGREED. same here. makes me want to switch to a old tascam tape machine.. lol

seriously.. its incredible how much time I have spent "not" making music :)

I blame it. :x However, with my dumb little live lite (x64 though! :hyper:) I've been getting pretty groovy.

... Still not sure about this PDC thing. I kinda understand better (it's a midi thing, not an audio thing one guy said??) I dunno. The photo doesn't sink in with me.

I saw another viddy with a guy who was trying to use I guess a compressor (it wasn't a very good viddy) and the click/music was off of the buss. I haven't got a bunch of VST's loaded on this machine yet (still rebuilding)
