Do you reckon they will relaunch Alchemy on OSX ?
I'm thinking they where after some patents, that can be utilized in Logic.

I imagine you would need to buy a mac to buy Logic to get Alchemy or a mutant ESX24-A. That is their business model.

I really hope they relaunch or at least build it into Logic as another instrument (or to expand on EXS24).Numanoid wrote:Do you reckon they will relaunch Alchemy on OSX ?

In the end, they also included parts of the Redmatica stuff they bought

OS X provides a robust plug-in architecture called Audio Units, which gives you access to thousands of instruments and sound-processing tools made by today’s leading developers.
And Camel Audio is still on that list there

In Apple Corp it seems the right hand doesn't notice what the left do

There is nothing from Redmatica in EXS-24, or any other part of Logic whatsoever. I wish they had included the instrument builder (Keymap). That would be great.Fleer wrote:Numanoid wrote: I really hope they relaunch or at least build it into Logic as another instrument (or to expand on EXS24).

Not you. Fleer did. But unfortunately, I think they bought Redmatica just to hire Andrea Gozzi, and probably, that's what they're after about Camel Audio too.Numanoid wrote:When did I say that? Indeed, Redmatica alive and kicking in MainStage!

The only thing Mainstage has is a simple feature that allows direct recording of plug-in output, something many other products also offer, and they didn't need to buy Redmatica for that. Did you even know the Redmatica products? The main one is Keymap - and there is no trace of it. So, Redmatica is barely alive, and certainly NOT kicking at all.Fleer wrote:fmr, did you check the web link I copied?Fleer wrote:I really hope they relaunch or at least build it into Logic as another instrument (or to expand on EXS24).Numanoid wrote:Do you reckon they will relaunch Alchemy on OSX ?

Your main one was Keymap, my main one was AutoSampler, now included by Apple in MainStage (http://www.synthtopia.com/content/2015/ ... mainstage/).fmr wrote: The only thing Mainstage has is a simple feature that allows direct recording of plug-in output, something many other products also offer, and they didn't need to buy Redmatica for that. Which proves my point: Apple including parts of Redmatica.
Your point being that they didn't, mine that they did

AFAIK, Autosampler created automatic sample mappings of samples to use in EXS, or other supported formats. Where do you have that in MainStage?Fleer wrote:Your main one was Keymap, my main one was AutoSampler, now included by Apple in MainStage (http://www.synthtopia.com/content/2015/ ... mainstage/).fmr wrote: The only thing Mainstage has is a simple feature that allows direct recording of plug-in output, something many other products also offer, and they didn't need to buy Redmatica for that.
