Unless you Paypal, then it converts and reconverts. You save about $20 in all. Still around 10%. But there is a delay in getting your serial.jsp1979 wrote:jc_vt wrote:Thanks..took off $18
Pay in Euros. It's cheaper to do so!

I see you can have step sequencers - are they standard and/or scripted? Also how independent can they be - could I have one step sequencer of 17 beats running at 120BPM and driving one sound (made up of maybe a few sources) and another step sequencer of 16 beats running at 110BPM driving another sound. In other words multitimbral and quite independent
EDIT: I found the manual and scripting doc - looks like you can manipulate the ticks per beat for a midi sequence so most likely you have fairly fine control

I see the best price (in Germany) from the UVI site. Best service (my prefered reseller) is more expensive, even with the halloween discount....
I really like what i heard so far, especially Simon´s granular pad sound like my cup of tea but i also need a demo before i put in 200 bucks. I need to play with it myself. I want to know f.e. if the envelopes can be really snappy and very very fast like the ones in Dune 2 or Tera 3. How fast are the LFO in hertz etc. That are all questions i don´t want to bother other people and need to try myself before trough in such a amount of money. After the intro sale i find it too expensive. Sorry, i don´t want to whine but with such a small size a demo should be no problem

If you are a preset hunter (like me), take Wusik V8. It comes with about 5.000 presets or more for 40 USD at the moment.basslinemaster wrote:Does anybody know how many presets it has? I can't find the answer on the UVI website.

This is very good news, imo, especially the part about the Patchpool MachFive libraries working also in Falcon.Sampleconstruct wrote:Absolutely!aMUSEd wrote:Simon do your existing MachFive libraries work perfectly in this?Sampleconstruct wrote:I already wrote this somewhere in this thread, it's almost up to par with H5 now, I still slightly prefer Halion due to longer grain times and some other things, but granular in Falcon is really good now.Neon Breath wrote:@Sampleconstruct:
The granular engine with multiple grain streams is now at the same level as Padshop & Halion?
Or you may say it’s even more powerful & good sounding?
I might jump on the bandwagon for this one!

They will make use of the old granular engine which remained untouched in Falcon, if I find the time I shall update some of the presets to make use of the new multi-stream granular engine, because in those libs I used a workaround on Layer level to create multiple grain streams (unison voices with unison spread applied to grain position), but this was pretty CPU intense at times, so with the new engine things are much smoother and easier to achieve and one can also modulate grain position offset with LFOs and stuff.|/nerd mode].Sequent wrote:This is very good news, imo, especially the part about the Patchpool MachFive libraries working also in Falcon.Sampleconstruct wrote:Absolutely!aMUSEd wrote:Simon do your existing MachFive libraries work perfectly in this?Sampleconstruct wrote:I already wrote this somewhere in this thread, it's almost up to par with H5 now, I still slightly prefer Halion due to longer grain times and some other things, but granular in Falcon is really good now.Neon Breath wrote:@Sampleconstruct:

stepline is a step sequencer from the factory scripts which also has a MIDI record mode to quickly sketch a phrase, then replay it. There's also a step modulator which can work either globally, in legato (the first note triggers the pattern) or in polyphonic mode (each note triggers a new pattern)woggle wrote:I see you can have step sequencers - are they standard and/or scripted?
As scripts and modulators can be different per layer you can easily have one layer holding a chord, another playing a pattern in 8th notes and a third one playing a faster pattern in 16th or anything polyrhythmic. Many factory patches make use of that.
With scripting anything is possible really (if you can code), even having a step sequencer per note or algorithmic composition. However usually when syncing to tempo, the tempo is inherited from Falcon rather than being set explicitly, but nothing forces you to do that.woggle wrote:could I have one step sequencer of 17 beats running at 120BPM and driving one sound (made up of maybe a few sources) and another step sequencer of 16 beats running at 110BPM driving another sound. thanks - this really does look very useful for me then - I have been waiting for Loomer to finish Epoch for midi manipulation but it drags on and on. It will take me a few days to get back up to speed coding but after that I should be fine (at the moment I use Matlab to do my midi stuff)mdsp wrote:stepline is a step sequencer from the factory scripts which also has a MIDI record mode to quickly sketch a phrase, then replay it. 229 USD for a synth is way too much compared to other products out there. Still it looks and sounds promising.

Paypal does have an option under something like other payment options when checkout, where you can select that it bills you in the original currency and don't do any conversion. You can save quite a lot this way...thejonsolo wrote:Unless you Paypal, then it converts and reconverts.

Except it's not JUST a synth, it's a sampler as well, and a fairly flexible one.DJ Warmonger wrote:229 USD for a synth is way too much compared to other products out there. Still it looks and sounds promising.
