Punctured bicycle
on a hillside desolate.
Will nature make a man of me yet?

Soul Asylum, "Somebody to Shove"

I don't think it counts as "lyrics that stuck" if you can't remember the second line.
Even if the piano player can't play, keep the party going.

Of Montreal - A Sentence of Sorts in Kongsvinger

I spent the winter on the verge of a total breakdown while living in Norway

I felt the darkness of the black metal bands

But being such fawn of a man I didn't burn down any old churches

Just laughed way too much, just laughed

you are right
i should have just typed
"we`re here to..."
to indicate that i remembered the "we`re here to" part and nothing after that

People, wake up
figure it out
religious fanatics
around and about

The Court House, The State House
The Congress, The White House
Criminal saints
with a heavenly mission
A nation enraptured
By pure superstition

When the lie's so big
And the fog gets so thick
And the facts disappear
The Republican Trick
Can be played out again
People, please tell me when
We'll be rid of these men!

I went back to my mother
I said, "I'm crazy, ma, help me"
She said, "I know how it feels, son
'Cause it runs in the family"
Even if the piano player can't play, keep the party going.

From my young metal days:

My recipe is now your epitaph...
Be it fried, boiled or grilled

Taking their art a bit too seriously :scared:

A poem that REALLY stuck (I read it circa 1970):

The Hydrogen Dog and the Cobalt Cat
Side by side in the Armory sat.
Nobody thought about fusion or fission,
Everyone spoke of their peacetime mission.
Till somebody came and opened the door.
There they were, in a neutron fog.
The Codrogen Cat and the Hybalt Dog;
They mushroomed up with a terrible roar-
And Nobody Never was there- Nomore.

Eventually, I found out that this and many other jocular (and occasionally very dark) poems were collected in The Space Child's Mother Goose, Verses by Frederick Windsor, Illustrations by Marian Parry.

I know that the poem is not "really" a set of lyrics, but I thought someone might enjoy it for its whimsy.
“Madness, as you know, is like gravity: all it takes is a little push.”

Whoa
are we movin' too slow
Have you seen us
Uncle Remus

We look pretty sharp in these clothes
'less you get sprayed with a hose
It ain't bad in the day
when they shoot it your way
'cept in the winter when its froze
and it's hard when it hits on your nose

Just keep your nose
to the grindstone, they say
Will that redeem us
Uncle Remus

Can't wait 'til my 'fro is hull grown
I just throw 'way my do-rag at home
and take a drive to Beverly Hills
just before dawn
and knock the little jockeys
off the rich people's lawn
and before they get up I'll be gone

Before they get up I'll be knockin' the jockeys off the lawn
Down in the dew
