That's specifically what I'd like to ask you: If this is about listening to music, what do *you* care that the pictures were removed from your posting? What difference does it make?

None, only that it shows a duplicity in how an entry with pictures was dealt with. Petty, sexist, double standards.

At any rate, pHz runs the contest. pHz can edit the submission thread how he wants. Casting aspersions upon him in general for this one instance given his long track record of both fairness and generousity is a petty, childish thing to do.

He did what he did and i made my views known about why i suspect he did it. he is free to do as he wants but i do not feel pointing out a double standard is petty or childish. Some of the greatest people in history did the very same thing. Its a shame it still must be done from time to time.

1 - i was totally open about what id done and why

2 - as ive said (repeatedly now) how can i be duplicitous when there has never previously been a comparable situation in the contest threads (and your comparisons DO NOT hold water in this particular context) ???

Right, it IS about the music. I listened to your song and I can say right away that it's definitely going to get a high ranking. Good production, good singing, good everything. That's good but by posting pictures of yourself, you're using sex to your advantage. Now is that fair?

It's not sexist, and yes, I can say it with a straight face. I don't know the EXACT reason why Rob did what he did, but I certainly agree. I know both sexes have the same rights, but you can't deny biological differences. Read my original post. I exemplified with a scenario that, despite being over the top, illustrates my point perfectly.

Picture a party... ONE good looking woman among 60 men is inevitably going to get more attention. Now apply that concept to the contest... If we're all men, Donkey Tugger couldn't possibly have an unfair advantage by posting pictures of himself, because it's not anything we hadn't seen before. You, on the other hand, being of the opposite sex, provide us eye candy. Intentionally or unintentionally, you're bribing your way to victory.

At the risk of this continuing to be an issue I'm going to answer your questions and then suggest that we squash this because unlike my pictures this whole thing is becoming a distraction, one i hoped would have been avoided.

Were you now? Did you define why you thought this was a special situation beyond stating that it was? I think the answer here is no.

ive removed all images (except those in sigs obviously) from the RULES & SUBMISSIONS thread in order ...
[a] to keep things fairly tidy (-ish)
to stop it descending into a my-pictures-bigger/brighter/easiertowankover-than-yours contest

i took the action i did because ...
[a] a situation had not previously occured where i felt the need to intervene in this way
its my opinion that (despite other contestants having previously posted images in this and other contests) what you did has (intentionally or not ... i dont care TBH) distracted from the point of this contest irrespective of trying to justify it in terms of 'this is how the real world of record deals work' ... to some extent the last couple of GOSSIP pages and the fact i feel the need to post now has evidenced this
