Amazing! great that you mentioned the article that got printed here in Sweden aswellfreeztar wrote:Ok...here's a link to the scanned in newspaper article. The quality of the scan wasn't great, but you should be able to read it fine.

She did a pretty good job with the article, but I was dissapointed to see that she did not mention the many others that made this thing possible.

Keith,
Cool article.
Hey, one thing we might want to push with future magazine articles.... We need to include the cdbaby 1-800 phone number.
A nice old lady at church wanted to buy the CD after seeing the clarkston news article, but she doesn't have a computer.
FYI for future news articles on the topic: CDBaby's 1-800 phone number is:
(800)BUY-MY-CD
or
(800) 289-6923
I know that's probably only good for the US, or not - I've never called a US toll-free number from outside the US.
By the way, right now, I'm listening to David Byrne's radio playlist - he's playing eclectic pop songs. On right now is Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong. I just checked to see if there is a way to contact him to play Chrysalid streaming for a month, but no luck there. I think he would be into this kind of a thing. Actually his stream just changed to Eno's 'My Squelchy Life'.
I'm also checking tonight to see how difficult it will be to make a myspace account for Chrysalid. That site gets lots of traffic. I'm thinking KVRians that haven't yet purchased the CD now see our BUY CHRYSALID cd posters as just part of the local scenery now.

myspace wants a birthday, e-mail address, gender, etc - all kinds of stuff that probably don't apply to our project.

Very good point about the 800 number Scott! I wish I would have thought about that when I was being interviewed.
For Myspace:
Birthday: Jan. 2006
email:info@katrinareliefcd.com
gender:male or female will work
etc.

Any news yet on whether or not I'm going to get a CD or not?

CD Baby has not had any of the CDs that were shipped to Krim, Glooper, or pHz returned. So apparently some postmaster or postman somewhere is having a ball.
To remedy the situation I'll ship you a CD each from Norway tomorrow - it should reach you within a few days. Hope that works out for everyone.
Regards,
Kovacs

that sux, a few years ago we had a real bad (very racist) mailman....he use to think I thought he was cool or something because he really spilled the beans. Things like I wont deliver those...
I reported his ass and my mail stopped showing up at times, I had to call the utilities for my bills more than once...but I started getting all these porn phone line things and junk mail. So I mailed a letter to myself that never arrive.
I called and complained, they sent a team out to watch him...and he actually put a note in my box swearing at me....which I gave to his supervisor...the dumbass actually wrote on post office paper...then he got a warning.
A little while passed and we soon realized that my tax return check was very late...the irs had sent it out many weeks before...again, dumbass wasn't smart enough to throw it away...he kept it on him...when he was caught with it, it really hit the fan.
Now we have a great mailman...real nice guy...big jolly mailman
The other one was encouraged to retire...I guess because he was a namn vet they cut him some slack and didn't press charges.

The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Some Detroit, MI area postal folks have been pocketing gift cards sent through the mail. Recent story on the news about it here:
