No, but any AI based services requires an internet connection.Caine123 wrote: Tue Sep 03, 2024 7:57 am why do you need to login for the PLANE to the account? strange that you need to do that for it. (another data collecting?)

aight somehow the AI needs to get feeded data from all users
sure you dont need to use it, but it is very "STRANGE" that you need to login with your data for this option..... but yeah of course it is used for optimization, better user experiences and so so yeah im sure.

No, their system uses its own source to generate the presets, regardless of what presets the user has, they won't be involved in the process at all.

It definitely requires a connection to their server to do the job. Just like how it goes with ChatGPT.Caine123 wrote: Tue Sep 03, 2024 9:26 am ahh ok, but why cant this module or whatever be offline in the installation folder?

Well that sucks, I would like the option to generate unlimited presets using my own rig, not some server based modelThe beta version has a free demo mode for 2048 presets per day

For the average user, it might look like a really cool update I guess, but in the end, it will be somehow negative I think, if now (after Midjourney etc for artworks) AI tools will create synth presets basically for free in masses, less real people will create synth presets, since it will be become not sustainable (worktime vs income)... so the quality will go down.
What confuses me the most is that Spire is a widely used synth, but Reveal Sound is one of the few developers, that have a big preset store for their product, from which they also earn probably more than Spire itself. And now with the Spire AI, sure they can create presets in mass by themself, with no need to pay royalties, etc - but with that, oversaturating the market for Spire presets itself and doing more negative impact than positive... and also giving users an AI tool to create presets in a few mouse clicks (up to 128) - and give the user`s no need, to buy in their own preset store... weird logic business-wise I think.
No matter how "cool" or "time-saving" AI features or applications are - they will always lead to real people quitting...

Can someone explain the 2000 presets per day limitation please?
I haven't even created 2000 presets in my life let alone a day

Let’s see how well it does first. If it’s like most other current-generation AI, it will do generic really well but fail to do much that’s interesting. I’d also expect it to not make good use of macro knobs or MIDI CC inputs.Cyforce wrote: Tue Sep 03, 2024 10:24 am For the average user, it might look like a really cool update I guess, but in the end, it will be somehow negative I think, if now (after Midjourney etc for artworks) AI tools will create synth presets basically for free in masses, less real people will create synth presets, since it will be become not sustainable (worktime vs income)... so the quality will go down.
