to put some things in perspective:
Just received this month's World Vision magazine which on the 3rd page has what they call the Katrina Scale. Basically a tally of the 2005 natural disasters compared as units of the number of deaths from Katrina; which is claimed to be around 1200.
Here's the graph and the legend, each * represents 62*1200=74000
1. *
2. ***
3. *************
4. ******************************
5. ******************************************
6. ***************************************************************************************************************
1. South Asia Earthquake: 74,000 deaths or 62*Katrina
2. Asia Tsunami: 200,000 deaths or 166*Katrina
3. Malaria, per year: 1,000,000 or 833*Katrina
4. Child Diarrhea, per year: 2,200,000 or 1833*Katrina
5. HIV/Aids, per year: 3,100,000 or 2583*Katrina
6. Hunger related, per year: 8,800,000 or 7333*Katrina
It was sobering to me. So, the message is, and I'm probably preaching to the choir here, don't let your involvement with Chrysalid be the last of your giving of your time and talents and financial support to easing pain. There's plenty to go around.

Any word on the shirts?
I just started composing a remix/mashup peice and an idea popped into my head...
What about a sampleset(s) derived from the katrina cd that can generate revenue as well?
One hits, ambient loops, layered beats; it's all there.
Of course, it would take some work to tweak all the sounds, add fx, and build the various sampler formats, but it would be a great soundset and it would be another avenue for KRCD revenue.
Is this a kosher idea?

Freeztar,
Do you still have any demo CD's? One should be sent straightaway to NPR's open mic
