Thanks for that tip... I had been considering it for that!ThomasHelzle wrote:
Yeah, Multitouch could be nice - I actually have a multitouch wacom intuous 5.
Don't buy one, the touch implementation is crap...
Best thing about it is that it can be disabled...
Cheers,
Tom

Yeah, I thought wacom would come up with the first usable touch screen alternative: a tablet where you could use multitouch in absolute mode like a pen on the table right in front of you.
But no, it's basically like a laptop touchpad (mouse mode) and the multitouch is only used for (mostly predefined) gestures to invoke some commands. I find it totally useless and since my wacom is located in front of my keyboard, I move or scale something all the time inadvertently if touch is enabled...
Also, the recognition if you intend to use your hand or the pen isn't really that good either...
At least after more than a year of total unusability because of completely broken drivers from wacom for windows 8, they included a checkbox to disable the windows touch stuff - which prevented proper use of the tablet...
Before that, you had a 1-5 second lag if you for instance tried to drag a window over the screen or move a scrollbar. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrgh.
They told the users they had to do it that way to be windows compatible...
So it was windows 8 compatible, but it lost it's main function on the way, precise movement...
If you have a wacom intuos 4 - keep it. It looks and works much better IMO.
Ok, rant over, but those guys made me really foam at the mouth
Cheers,
Tom

Hehehe - no, it's (part of) my favourite wallpaper: 1000 polygons forming a cube, clipped by a procedural texture...Suloo wrote:is that microscopic cat hair in the backround?
It's the new splashscreen...

Too bad... I much prefer this one:ThomasHelzle wrote:It's the new splashscreen...

I hope they change their mind and include this splashscreen on the final 1.0 release...

I could be mistaken, but I think he made the desktop, not the splash screen.Ogopogo wrote:You made it for them Tom? Cool.
