i've been exploring MX for a few days now (full disclosure: scrolling thru presets has crashed logic X a couple of times). but the sound of this thing... is full, defined. colorful.

massive was my first 3rd-party plugin. i burnt out on it some years ago. this is a worthy successor... regardless of any technical oddities discussed. it SOUNDS great, is fun to play with. & that's what i am looking for in a synth plugin. :tu:

What an easy person to run against. All you need is one slogan 'Jeremy Can't'
Peoples minds will do the rest of the work.

You guys are calling someone an idiot for not understanding 'exciter envelopes' on an unlabled, un-manualed synth that is a week old.

There is still no f**king manual, correct?
Why make a video with a clickbait title if you dont know what the f*** you’re talking about?

This is a dude with a large following on YouTube. He could have easily asked around for answers on social media or support forums. They’re NI beta testers on KVR. The Massive dev team is active on NI forums.

Hmm, neither the vid nor the reaction to it will become milestones in humanity.

What mess? It's more fun to tweak synths without manual. It's the best way to explore and learn synth or any other instrument. This way you can create a sound in a way that nobody else did before and most importantly it's so much fun to experiment with synths not knowing what to expect :) it's also good for brain to work this way.
That.

So to sum it all up: if you're going to make educational content, you better know what you're doing. And when you don't, take all possible steps to ensure that you do know what you're doing in order to avoid spreading misinformation. And the last thing you should do is talk about stuff you don't understand as if you were an expert on it. Inspecting signals through an oscilloscope and a frequency analyzer does not make you an expert, although it's a great way to appear as one even when you don't have the foggiest clue of what you're actually measuring. The fun thing about empirical research is that no matter what you measure and how you measure, you will always get a measurement, be it zero or anything else. You could be measuring the average weight of elephants by measuring average water densities of various cloud formations and you'll still get your damn measurement.
The solution to all this BS is to make the VST Plugin analyser prohibitively expensive. Make it free for developers, students and educators. 500 bucks for everyone else.

Make a clickbait video, and you don't have to wonder about the reaction.

Sadowick will reach a lot more people with his video than this discussion. And that's unfortunate. Take a look at the comments of his video, and you know the score.

This thing has some truly bizarre sounds up its sleeve.
Don't F**K with Mr. Zero.

make up your own minds! demo it, play with it. if it 'resonates' with u, it's a (possible) keeper. if not, then adios.

nothing wrong with discussion, and information. but anyone who makes life choices based on a youtube video needs a youtube video therapy video

Hey FK,

This is just a guy giving his opinion and you might take something with you. Specifically, I'm a bit surprised the comparison with Phaseplant has not come up yet.

Euh life choices. No, this is not a thing of life or death.

not singling you (or any one video) out. just think ppl need to try something, then decide it's for them, or not for them...
