iOS is exploding - f!cking exploding -
Auria Pro last week - huge upgrade. Synthmaster is now on my f!cking iPhone! The interface kind of reminds me of Alchemy. Bulent @ work work work - the marathon runner of devs -
New next-version generative stuff recently released - Mixtikl 7 and Noatikl 3 -
Yet Another Korg-related product: ids-10 recently released for iOS -
The overall problem with iOS apps is that compared to their computer counterparts: they are often a lot cheaper, and in Korg's case (bless their hearts) often on sale as well.
No brainer, really - I buy everything that Korg releases in iOS.

I recognize that feeling brother. Some kind of OCD/GAS mixture I thinklectrixboogaloo wrote:I don't think i have GAS problems so much as some kind of collector tick. If I have 2 or 3 guitar pedals of some series, I feel compelled (mildly, but eventually gets to me sometimes) to get the whole series. Which can be pretty wasteful, really.
No band limits, aliasing is the noise of freedom!

I have a collector completist mindset too. Or I did when I was on Effexor. I had almost every free VST by the people that made VST series, especially if they had good design sense.
The iOS attraction and Korg's contribution to it is certainly impacting me. I just ordered an iPad Pro from B&H yesterday with money I've been stashing away for a replacement studio computer (which keeps not happening). I'll be buying several Korg apps once it arrives. Assuming the iPad screen isn't shitty about screen color consistency like my new iPhone 6s. I'm seriously growing annoyed at Apple, but the alternatives aren't remotely attractive.
The gear lust for me tends to be about trying to find something new and novel to seek fun in. When you're somewhat anhedonic and very poor, it's hard to try new things. But I'm hoping this purchase will turn out to be smart for various computing activities overall. I'm not likely to ever buy another laptop at this point, due to the heat issues they face, but I still need portabile computing (dragging my MacBook around the house when it's often booted to an external Snow Leopard drive for studio use is a hassle). I hope the iPad apps and portability give me a new sense of quick access to creativity.
If not... :-/

If your iPad can handle it, and if you can afford $50usd -
Auria Pro is a true no-brainer - it comes with both Fabfilter One & Twin2 soft synths.
I've managed to get Tascam iur2's to consistently work with my iPads (the iur2's were 30 dollar purchases I believe from Musiciansfriend a couple years ago) - what works for me is to use a Lightning-to-usb adapter to a y-cable that's split between the interface and a power source -
Got to bring up Waldorf's Nave (stunning) and Virsyn's Poseidon - beautiful! Great iOS synths.

2015 was a year with little G.A.S to me. Maybe cause I'm really with few money this year (it's was a difficult year overall), or maybe cause I already have everything that I need. I really lusted for Falcon, but didn't had money to it. In the last sales, I got PSP N2O and Waves Codex (real cheap with discount + coupon). And A nice friend gave me Zebra, so, I think that I won't gave any G.A.S. attack for a long time.

I've had $1000 in my paypal kitty during 2015, and now $50 is left so I guess I must have bought something this year
The best buy this year has to be ME80, just an amazing plug
Just goes to show that one can have caviar and champagne for little money

And this year I learned to use Reaktor. Not very deeply yet, but I can now create some ensembles that satisfies my needs. Learning Reaktor is kind of a cure to G.A.S.

Many many purchases in iOS in 2015 - too numerous to name them all.
Some for as little as 99 cents -
Here's our world now:
Just fired up my analog mono & checked its tuning accuracy against Korg's module running on my iPhone - funny: I actually am my sig for reals (somewhere between analog and digital)
The great thing about iOS is cost: you can accumulate a ridiculous amount of cool software & not feel really guilty because of what you've spent, plus it's all integrated heavily into touch control - nice to not have to use a mouse all the time.
And after testing: yes, you can use an iPad like a module (and even a full-blown instrument) live, or as an effects processor -
Strange world nowadays - lots of options that won't break either the bank, or your back -

I still want to buy some soft:
Komplete
Diva
Zebra
Some Compressors
I thought also to buy iPad mini for music and reading books ... Etc.
But all that got delayed
I need first monitors and some room acoustic treatments. So, although I bite my lips when I read/ see something in my wish list but there is priorities and I must stick to the plan.
Anyway, I'm still busy learning my fav synths like Bazille, Blofeld ...etc so I have tons to do

A $99 Korg Taktile controller gets you a PIN for
the Legacy Collection, and it has a kaossilator XY pad,
some drum pads, and typical controller knobs sliders and buttons. A version with a 512 sound Triton soundset (a read-only version) is $199, for true Korg memoriphiliacs
