Does the UltraChannel work in Presonus Studio One 2 ?
It's a nice day for a melody.

Hm, one question, what version of the iLok license manager would i need? I have Windows 8 64-bit running here, but my hosts are 32-bit. Is it no problem running the 64-bit iLok license manager and running 32-bit hosts?

(yeah, no problem running the 64 bit license manager, it's just dealing with your licenses, now, let's get this thread back on topic yo!)

I got this. I put the 64bit in Sonar and the 32bit in Harrison Mixbus...nice freebie!

This would be fantastic if the GUI weren't so small. It seems optimized for 800x600 displays. Too many controls crammed into a tiny space on my 1680x1050 monitor.

My first impression, too... No fun to use.Frantz wrote:This would be fantastic if the GUI weren't so small. It seems optimized for 800x600 displays. Too many controls crammed into a tiny space on my 1680x1050 monitor.

Er, this is a great plugin... and for free? My iLok account says license expires "never? Feel free to complain about iLok, the gui and whatever, I'm using the great eq and compressor now! Woot!
P.S. I unplugged my iLok awhile ago and I'm only using the software currently.

Apologies if this has been asked or answered already, but if I get the UltraChannel plugin and use it with the software iLok account, can I then transfer that licence to an iLok dongle at a later date?

I think you can as long as you use the same user account.

I remember both being available options in the UI...andrew71 wrote:Apologies if this has been asked or answered already, but if I get the UltraChannel plugin and use it with the software iLok account, can I then transfer that licence to an iLok dongle at a later date?

Yes. Just plug in an iLok and it will ask if you want to transfer/add. Quite painless really... I just unplugged mine because I got a new mac and need a new usb hub.

Some feedback on my experience: I was skeptical about PACE, but I gave it a shot none the less (free pluggy, sure I'll try it)... after all, never used PACE before, and only heard stories about instability, so I figured meh. Nice plugin, for sure, but my system twice prompted me for a forced shut down in about 10 minutes or so... and finally crashed (everything on my system is legit, OS, DAWs, pluggies, the lot, just for the record). Uninstalled plugin and PACE manager thingy, back into it, no hickups. Not sure what the issue was, whether it be the plugin or the PACE driver, but one thing is for sure, I have no joy. Aw well, I tried it, didn't work out for me (Win7 x64).
On to the plugin, bummed that it didn't work out for me, as it was quite nice (the bit of time that I tested it). Not anything AMAZING imo, but not bad as a freebie. As a paid channel strip, not sure what it would be worth... max, and that's absolute max in my book, maybe $80 (prefer Trackplug myself if I have to use a strip, usually don't though).
