Aptly named. I'd love to hear compositions like this played by a live orchestra. Do you ever get a chance to have this happen?
No, never. You know one daft enough? I'm just saving up for Cubase+Miroslav so I can go mad. Thanks!
Just saw that Miroslav is on sale for $399 at Audio-Midi; don't know enough about it to know whether that's a good deal or not

Doesn't seem like you need Cubase if you are able to arrange like you did in this month's contest with whatever tool you used to compose it. Skip Cubase and just get the Miroslav.

rockstar_not wrote: AndreasE - Dance of the Animals Are you really Bernie Krause? Very entertaining.
respirator wrote:AndreasE, Dance of the Animals: I’ve not been too kind to your entries in the past, I think. Let me remedy that: This is awesome. I’m still laughing. And at the same time I have strange farm images on my mind (don’t ask). Cool!
Thanks so much, folks. I´m really glad that you enjoyed this track. :D

Thanks. Miroslav isn't released yet. I've heard the end of this month. I'm just waiting for more demos to see how it compares to the other samples. Nice and cheap though. Nice-looking interface too.

I've been using FLStudio. I've had it for a while, but I just can't settle down with it. I've been looking at Sonar and Cubase (along with everyone else :) ) and come to the conclusion that in the end I'll have to flick a coin to decide.

Bastien, Nacht: Very well produced. Very contemporary, I like the individual elements and the composition. Something untangible might be missing, before this would be top of this months comp. Haven't got a clue to what that might be, though (so whats the point of even mentioning it?). Cool Track.

Upon reflection, I'd say it's the lack of a proper hook and/or melody... Thanks for the kind comments, though.

Winner! :hihi:
nice one (the name shift, too).
Thanks. It was so much damn work (and not even done yet!), and now I hate the song from listening to it all month! :P ;)

Well if you're familiar with the original (Blue Danube waltz by Strauss), you'd know that it was super-cheesy to begin with!

Sort of an uphill battle to even make it not remind the listener of a cartoon or comedy bit, as the Danube is most often used in media. ;)

Thanks for the listen and words.

Wasn't listening for the qoute (just listened via your radio - thank you for that, btw - didn't read your entry notes) but it is of course that. Nice one.

I just don't groove to this, but well done regardless.
respirator wrote: Astanine, Halothane: Bling, bling, bling, bling, bling, bling, bling. BLING! You could probably dance to this, but to much bling.
Thanks for the comments. :)

Respirator - This month I tried for an slightly over the top sound so your comments are fine by me.
Also I don't always get your entries but the moment I played your track I imagined people dancing. Definately one of my favourites this month.

Thanks! To answer your question, I am that Art, though sometimes I think he's just my Tyler Durden, or I his. In any case, thanks for listening, and I'm glad you liked the loops!

i'm so shit at writing reviews that i needed some exterior help. i asked a lot of people but they were too busy posting in HPC, so i had that wonderful idea. Please let me introduce my guest reviewer, Mr. Rurik's Lyrics Generator. Don't you know him already? He's hard to understand, sometimes, but he's errr... deep.

Enjoy!

PS (thanks to respirator for the template which i shamelessly ripped off.)
