"Tristwich Y Fenywood" by Tristwich Y Fenywood, courtesy of a Grauniad article; very much in my wheelhouse. In the territory of Dead Can Dance's first album, which was somewhat less polished and glossy and cinematic, and more post-punk and drum-machine-d, than those which came after. Gets quite a bit harsher and more angsty in places, though, eg the near-shrieked vocals on some tracks edges into something that feels a bit like Dame Area crossed with Skeletal Family's [/i]Trees[/i]. Which aint a bad thing at all, to my tastes.
