Of course it's the 3rd file in each pair that's the original. This is so obvious that it hurts! Y'all couldn't even hear the 3rd one, right? I beat you all, heheheheeeh!!! (Peter, you can PM me for the delivery address for the OB-X)
:hihi:

What if I would say both is the hardware, or both the software? :D

Joking apart - any other votes? We have 13 so far. Yes, I really want to post the solution soon. But pleaso no "I've always known it" afterwards from anyone who didn't dare to vote...

Yes, please do. Hakey is right.

Here are the files one last time, so that you don't need to scroll to page x to find the clips. Which of each two is the original and which the VSTi? Should be easy for experts imho.

http://soundcloud.com/izonin/opxfilt - OP-X Pro's own filter.

http://soundcloud.com/izonin/opxfab - Fabfilter Pro-Q's lowpass on OP-X's saw.
How does a comparison against an EQ demonstrate that the OP-X filter is the same as the one in Reaktor? And why does it even matter if the difference between that filter and the one in the OB-X is not immediately obvious in a blind test?

Please, I really want to end it. If someone still wants to vote then please now. And again, please no "I've always known it" afterwards from anyone who didn't dare to vote.

It proves that they don't sound good. I'll post an example of the Reaktor filter later. But everyone, who has been using and designing software filters, should be able to see the lack of quality from this comparison.

mmmm..you seem very defensive of your position.

Ok, let's finish it. Here's the solution.
The question was: Which one of each clip pair is the real hardware? A ist the first, B the second.

First on the collected votes:

hakey: B B B A A
PAK: B B B A A
Gamma-UT: A A B B A
The unshushable Coktor: B B B A A
Nomoon: B B B B A
breakmixer: B B A A B
MaxSynths: B A A ? A
raintalk: B A B A B
Doug1978(tempID): B B B B B
ryandfl: B A A B A
musikmachine: B A B B A
Gonga: A B A B A
jancivil: B A A ? B
tetsuneko: B B B B B

For comparison:

B B B A A
B B B A A
A A B B A
B B B A A
B B B B A
B B A A B
B A A ? A
B A B A B
B B B B B
B A A B A
B A B B A
A B A B A
B A A ? B
B B B B B

The solution is:

File 1 OP-X PRO-II
File 2 OB-X

File 1 OP-X PRO-II
File 2 OB-X

File 1 OP-X PRO-II
File 2 OB-X

File 1 OB-X
File 2 OP-X PRO-II

File 1 OB-X
File 2 OP-X PRO-II

So the winners (5 of 5) are:
hakey, PAK, The unshushable Coktor

Thanks at everyone who has dared to vote! :-)
