A minor point of correction: ValhallaÜberMod is, in fact, the abbreviated title.
The full title is Valhalla Über Peter George St. John le Baptiste de la Salle Mod.

Those are Brian Eno's middle names for those that didn't know, didn't get the joke, etc. I had actually forgotten that until recently when google/wikipedia offered it up as I was doing research for a IK Brian/Peter post for this very venue. It's also kind of funny because his brother Roger's middle name would seem to be simply Eugene.

Yeah, I knew I remembered a similar joke on KVR recently. I was going to try to put Thurston Howell the 3rd in there as part of the full name, but I didn't know if that would translate internationally, or would be lost on the younger readers.antithesist wrote:Those are Brian Eno's middle names for those that didn't know, didn't get the joke, etc. I had actually forgotten that until recently when google/wikipedia offered it up as I was doing research for a IK Brian/Peter post for this very venue. I used ÜberMod _a lot_ in this track: http://soundcloud.com/bronto-scorpio/colours
I also used Shimmer and VRoom of course (No FreqEcho this time though)
I don't really know how I made music without ÜberMod anymore to be honest
Cheers

Yes! I have some of the plugins you mention but ÜberMod is definitely something completely different. None of the plugins you mention have up to 32 taps for example, or a diffusion secion, or.....cyphersuit wrote:would übermod bring something new to the table?
ÜberMod is really good at simple choruses, flangers, delays, reverbs....but it _really_ shines at all the things in between like reversed-tape-solina-echo-reverbs
ÜberMod is definitely something unique! I don't know a single plugin which does even remotely what ÜberMod does. Some Eventide hardware can probably do similar things though

Damn now you're making it sound even more tempting.Seems like my resistance is going to be futileBronto Scorpio wrote:Yes! Another quick example (I used a very similar sound in the track above though).
Über Transformation
First you hear the dry pad, then through the first instance of ÜberMod with a nice chorus setting, then through a second instance with a reverb-ish setting which basically repeats a blurred version of the first chord over the second one (Even reverbs can be tempo synced in ÜberMod). After that another ÜberMod instance with an ensemble setting fades in
I love that blurred chord sound
Edit:
I also added the example to my ÜberMod Soundcloud set and added a few comments to show what's happening: http://soundcloud.com/bronto-scorpio/be ... sformation

Here is the complete set if someone needs even more audio examples

I own Turnado, CamelSpace and a few others and the reason I bought UberMod is because it really sits will in the mix. I think the sound quality is excellent and for that reason alone I think, for the price, it's unbeatable. It also has some excellent presets so even if you own other delays this one offers something extra just in the sound quality.
