Yes! It works stable at least in FL. I ran 2 instances of bluearp in FL for 8+ hours - no crashes.

No nothing is displayed except for "- , -, - , - , -". I just tried Polac's "Out II" (which is for routing midi channels) with it, and at least with that BlueArp looks like it's generating a "signal". Before it didn't "light up" at all - which is what indicates whether or not the plugin is active. But no matter how I try to route and connect them, I can't get data to the instrument.graywolf2004 wrote:Does it display anything in "In keys pre-filter" when you press keys or send notes to bluearp?

It means bluearp doesn't get any midi notes from host. Pls try Kirnu or other arp to check if it's bluearp obly problem.dbz wrote:No nothing is displayed except for "- , -, - , - , -"

I'm using an older computer running Win98SE. There's not a lot of arp generators out there to begin with, and unfortunately Kirnu doesn't work at all on my system. The "Hyperion" plugin (and other arp sequencers) by xoxos do work - and that's because they are made in SynthEdit. I had high hopes for BlueArp when I saw how elaborate it is, and it works fine (with the exception of the midi data not being transmitted). So please don't crush my dreams quite yet.

Unfortunately, I still have the stability problems on Sonar X2. I have spent many hours this weekend testing BlueArp. I had two main setups:graywolf2004 wrote: 1. BugFix - stability issues with multi-instance usage
Setup 1: Cantabile 2 as host. Three instances of BlueArp: first for bass line, second and third one for left/right rhythmic guitars. All three instances were controlled via the same midi keyboard to get something like an auto-accompaniment. I had also drum-synth on another rack as well as two additional midi-keyboard controlling NI FM8 synth and Arturia Analog Lab. This setup worked great for many hours during my jam session. But I noticed after longer time of playing that one of the rhythmic guitar (controlled by BlueArp) started playing two semitones lower... what is interested - the output filter on BlueArp screen displayed correct sounds. So from that moment I had to change transposition on the BlueArp two semitones higher - the BlueArps screen displayed improper tone but played OK. The rest of BlueArps worked OK this time. This problem occured twice more during another jam session that evening.
Setup 2: I tried to recreate the above configuration of three BlueArps on Sonar X2 but with no success. I got two working BlueArps but during doodling with the second one the Sonar X2 were crashing after only a few minutes... Of course it played longer if I used loaded arpeggios without changes on Sonar. To be absolutely sure if the problem comes from BlueArp - on Sonar I used only hardware synths (YamahaMU50/KorgNX5R/YamahaSY22).
I also reinstalled my Sonar X2 from scratch to be sure that no other settings make that problem. As far as the transposition problem is concerned - first I thought this is a host problem - but I found it also on Sonar, as I wrote earlier - it was a transpose an octave lower. For my rhythmic guitar I was using Dimension Pro synth, after the first situation I replaced it by hardware synth and the problem occured again.
I will be testing it more and more to find out what's going on... anyway.

Since trying this in Buzz, I decided to test it in Savihost & energyXT. Turns out it works fine there... so I think the problem isn't because I'm using an old computer, but it's connected (pardon the pun) with Buzz.

Buzz FX(sadly) runs very badly in FL now - (even though it's still bundled with it)
shame because I really like some of the fx and filters...

Restart on key is somehow related to host timeline even without quantization and without touching play button in host. On 0 tick it starts immediately, on 8 tick it's delayed. It introduce random delay before starting play.
Several versions ago, arp started playing from the last step, but now it is ok.
Anyway, thanks for nice plug.

I can suggest to try newest vst wrapper, it's from 08-Jun-2013. I don't know if it can work with your ancient soft.dbz wrote:I can't get this plugin to work properly. I'm using Buzz 1.2 as my VST host. The problem I'm having with it is, it doesn't transmit the notes to an instrument. It appears that there's no "Note out" data being sent.
Consider buying new computer, last version of Buzz is from previous month. New version to old version is like day to night.dbz wrote:Since trying this in Buzz, I decided to test it in Savihost & energyXT. Yeah, I'm aware there's a new version of Buzz out there... if and when I manage to get a new computer I'm sure it will be a major shock - like when man first discovered fire perhaps. (At least I'll appreciate the upgrade more than probably anyone else currently using a computer). Truth be told though, I kinda like seeing how far I can push this thing.

Hi all. Too few time this weekend, but I reproduced 'octave lower' problem in FL Studio. It's because some releases before I added pass thru for CC messages. When I switch it off, it's fine. I'm not sure if it's better to disable this feature or find specific messages to filter out (they may be different in other DAWs though)

Quick update
http://www.graywolf2004.net/files/BlueARP_v1.12rc5.zip
Changes
1. BugFix for 'octave lower' problem (had to disable all CC messages except pitch bend, aftertouch and mod wheel)
I'll try to test with Sonar net weekend.

Hello Graywolf.
As I'm sure you bored of hearing by now, this is a fantastic arp!
I tried to send a donation, but even with Google Translate working on that page I couldn't quite make it work — so I just copied your email and sent you a decent chunk of change direct from my PayPal account. And that worked like a charm.
I haven't gone through this thread yet, but I shall.
Easy to understand concepts. Excellent presets; great starting places. I've been trying to work with Kirnu and Catanya on a project and they just weren't clicking for me, on this particular piece anyway — watched half your tutorial, spent 20 minutes fiddling around with Blue Arp and now I've got patterns that fit the piece (with alternates) and I can finally get back to working on the damn tune. Thanks for that!
Keep up the great work.
Cheers!

SongMonkey Thanks, good feedback is always nice to hear )
dazarz Do you still have crashes in Sonar X2 with ver 1.12rc5?
You use 64 or 32 bit version of Sonar?
