Well I made this one up (obviously), but when I googled "resistor technology" to back it up with some technical names, I found out that this misinformation has already populated, just try "carbon composition resistor vs carbon film"... So, if you make up some bs story, there's is 90% chance someone already believes it.

Dont forget the resistive influence of dust that makes circuits warmer over the years.
Its a fact German dust is best and was often added to new American synths as US dust is vastly inferior
