well, personally, if I owned one - or a module (fingers crossed) - and it came down to fitting onto the operating system either cc smoothing for the filter, or for example some extra functionality for the onboard motion/sequencer... the cc smoothing would be less of a priority for me.

First of all i'm really thrilled about the new Minilogue!
Being an owner of an original MS10 and a MS20m limited edition (without mentioning the Legacy software collection) i'm very happy about this new polyphonic baby!

I use a lot of precise automation in my DAW workflow so i'm a little worried about the MIDI CC implementation of classic 7 bit range (0..127)
This for sure will give steppish cutoff and pitch modulations.
Can we hope for a future 14 bit implementation?
As far as i hear from the various youtube reviews i can't hear any steppish modulation when the motion sequencer is flowin'.
This gimme the idea that there is some ADC convertion from the knob to the sequencer memory and then some form of interpolated DAC from the sequencer memory to the parameter voltage value.
Can we hope to get the same smoothness via MIDI CC in the future?
I'd add that given that some sort of editor/librarian is kind of planned (am i right) there should be some sort of mechanism to transfer digital values to precise analog values.
As far as i see from videos some parameters are on 0..1023 range so a 10 bit value. am i right?

Thanks, I used to have a Novation Nova desktop and had a lot of fun applying the multimode filters and effects to incoming audio, along with a few other tricks. I'm wondering if the Minilogue has anyt other tricks up it's input.

I was really interested in the Minilogue until Arturia dropped a bomb with the Matrixbrute.
The arrival of a Pulse two a few days ago hasn't helped Korgs case either.

It's about the best way to utilize real estate tbh..and I scored to Pulse 2 (new) for roughly 1/2 the cost of the Minilogue.. I have korg sounds covered anyway with other gear. The Matrixbrute offers something I don't have so the Minilogue drops off the radar. And yes, Waldorf is responsible for the Pulse 2.

Congratulations on your Pulse 2. Please let me know if you come across another one new for $250. They usually cost $750!

Korg has nothing to worry about- considering the numerous positive reviews and their decades experience in making synths. The Matrixbrute, is monophonic and looks to be a behemoth. The Minilogue is portable and it's also perfect for today's home studio's that likely has limited space. I don't know what the expected price-point is for the M-Brute, but it looks like something you can expect to pay at least 2-3k for?

Arturia seems to be doing well in the business world at the moment, but given today's climate of business's going under, where can you expect them to be 10yrs from now when you need repairs or replacement parts? Who does authorized repairs for Aturia's synth's for that matter?

Wow...that thread was kinda brutal to read. People definitely need to consider repair issues as part of the purchasing decision.

It's not just an Arturia issue to be fair. I've had a Tech 21 product DOA, a Blackheart Engineering valve amp die on the first chord (4 months). A Line6 Variax 600 that went t*ts up in 1/2 an hour (that took 10 months to get back brrrrr). Another line6 product that didn't do what it was supposed to do (pod 500 thing).
I never had an issue with my Arturia Origin (shouldn't have sold that).

that thump/clicking is not due to fast envelopes. I think it's a VCA issue. if Korg remain silent on this I'm cancelling my pre-order.
