It´s another approach. Softube Modular seems to be a hardware modular emulation with some advantages of software. You build your own patches (patch cables and add modules) on the fly. Even you can save this as a preset, it is more temporarily like the real hardware.

Reaktor is more like a modular inspired synth building sandbox. It´s still a WYSIWYG-editor to build your own synths or effects. But Blocks is a new layer that fills the huge gap between human and computer. I use Reaktor to build my own instruments that cover my needs like a sequenced electro synth or a drum machine for Push. I personally build it and so I now what it can do and what not. If a have a new need or idea I can extend it. When you use it as a plugin in your DAW you can´t build or edit the ensemble, you can only turn the knobs. There is a cut between instrument creation and sound design.

This is the difference to Softube Modular and to real modular systems. I like the Reaktor approach. It´s like Minecraft für musicians. And I´m really excited to see how the real modular approach of Softube works for me.

I bought there in the past, that's why I got the intro sale note (even before suftube sent an "it's released" email), but I usually shop at the other great online retailer (ok, I'm sure there are many others, but everybody has a favourite), and I'm very satisfied with them as well.... ;)

there is too much great shop ATM jrrshop , everyplugin, plugindiscount.....

Really neat to be able to use a modular in your DAW, both as an instrument and as an effect plugin—to run your audio through it. This thing sounds totally awesome and it has a very hands on feeling using it. You can also never ever run out of VCAs with this modular.
It can be used as an fx!!! :hyper: :hyper:

I think it would be wise to at least consider the bundle as it is now on it's own merits for the price offered.
Is it worth the dollars to you even if it wasn't developed any/much further?
Yeah that is what I meant by my last paragraph. But I think we all hope/assume that this is not what we are hoping for.

Perhaps Softube could tell us more about modules in the pipeline. Or perhaps details of what they have agreed licenses for eg are they allowed to create all doepher/intellijel modules? ( not saying they will, but do they have the rights?)

Is there any way to demo this before buying to see if it works on your system?

Listened to some of the Soundcloud demos. I like the way this thing sounds. As long as it works on my system, this is almost a 100% slam dunk purchase for me.
