Yes, I know exactly what you mean. I finally got my dream PRS and I don't touch it, it's just too delicate. Meanwhile, I'll have the time of my life pounding away on the PRS SE you got me.hibidy wrote:On a serious note, I could NEVER own a guitar like that. It's just too much. If I was rich and could put it in a case, maybe. But my most expensive guitar cost me just over a grand. And it is FLAWLESS, I don't touch itIt says in it's case, and never gets played. I'm afraid of ruining it
Your next guitar?

I got one of those from out of ESP's back-stock. It's amazing that a 7-string ESP, made in Korea (which are excellent), could be so cheap and it really is quite a bit classier than their other instruments in that price range. It's not as good quality as their Korean 400-, 600-, and 1000-series guitars but I'm sure you'll have a blast with it after you get it set up.Dean Aka Nekro wrote:http://www.andertons.co.uk/solid-body-e ... -black.asp

@Mayones, Yes I sure have and they are really well made Polish rock/metal and more than metal machines but agree that heck they are very expensive, I can only put it down to spoilt bastards that get whatever they want with rich parents, The sort that turn up to first ever band practice/a jam with the exact same gear as their heroes in the false hope that it will make them play/sound the same
Mayones with a full stack and couple of extra options they got for b'day and Christmas mentioned later. Both Daniel and Niklas of Dark Tranquillity are artists, Great band and after all these years ought to be bigger. Anders & Jonas are another pair for example both are in Katatonia & Bloodbath so will have a lot of fans for both main band and side project band (Plus Mikael Akerfeldt of Opeth is also a Bloodbath member on and off so its easy to see why they do Death Metal so well/Loved). My Dying Bride & Paradise Lost guitar and bass players are artists also and perhaps the most important at present is that Misha Mansoor 'Bulb' dude of Periphery and Solo with the whole 'djent' thing, They do a really radio friendly version of it so I'll bet a lot of the kiddies are getting them due to him, One of TesseracT's guitarists plus the guy from Textures are 'djent'/very popular currently AFAIK, I could be totally wrong. I've played on a Regius and a Setius briefly but couldn't pay the asking price/wouldn't. That was regular one's and not any of the 'djentleman' range with 7s and 8s fitted with Bareknuckle buckers, Would be cool to try a few one day perhaps. Oh and add a Laboga Dr.Hector Duo Master Mk II fullstack, An Engl Powerball Mk II fullstack, Fractal AXE-FX 2 plus other 'bits' like an unused POD HD Pro, A ton of single stomps and a 6505 and Triple Rectifier that are so 2010 to boot those spoilt bustard's kit list, Paid for not by them ;P
@No new pieces, This fecking laptop got messed up by my youngest using it for games online so I had to do a lot of disk checks and in the end I just restored it to factory settings/Like when I bought it. So not got any audio software installed yet, I mean absolutely nothing! On the other hand my Audio PC is now properly ready, So over the weekend coming up I am going to install/concentrate getting that up and going again, Then I can go much easier on this laptop and get more stuff done in less time/more focused/streamlined (yeah right
) Oh hell, I have plenty of stuff in the vaults that is abysmal/beyond help that I keep solely to remind myself that I hit some major crap
truly it sucks a golf ball down a hose pipe with ease
@hink, John you not even a little bit tempted for less than a pair of humbuckers? I know you are and well stuffs get stuff and it wouldn't hurt to try one if your out shopping near a geetar store hey? When I get it I'll give the honest bottom line how much work it will need fwiw chaps

Cheers for the heads up, I wasn't expecting a huge super deal but with some work I'm confident now hearing that, That it will come out really better than I except. Cheers Eric, I now you never say things lightly eitherUncle E wrote:I got one of those from out of ESP's back-stock. Admits to not knowing who the first three are. I'd better admit to not knowing 'Uncle E's better half while I'm at it.
I'm tired of being insane. I'm going outsane for some fresh air.

I do not know the first and the third werp, I only know of Eric's lovely better half as he showed us some wedding footage. Other than that and Eric looking like perhaps the happiest man alive in the video/day I do not Mrs.Dahlberg
I'm not after any pickups at the moment but came across Mr.Keith Merrow jamming out with a pair of newish (totally new to me) Duncan's (the bridge especially) aimed at modern, progressive and I guess for want of a better word the 'djent' thing called 'Pegasus' with a 'Sentient' in the neck. hib/Chris mate notice the guitar which the good dude is using also which is another clue as too the SS crazed Mayo marauders
The 'Pegasus' seems to do it well (Yeah Keith's playing/technique/touch has got nuffin to do with the outcome la la la la la la) with if I didn't know otherwise I would of said/guessed they were from DiMarzio or possibly BareKnuckle, The description gives it away, Alnico V magnet but not overtly overwound for massively amounts of high output. I like the tight lows and that conky lower mids thing (like a JB but with the mid peak resonant area down lower):
Nice work Seymour and Spot on demo by Keith

The third was the turn of phrase I was most proud of! The infamous smut peddler, Larry Flynt, would more likely be watching a taping of an under-aged runaway's porn audition than Dancing with the Stars, particularly since he's paralyzed from the waist down.Dean Aka Nekro wrote:I do not know the first and the third werp

It's coming up!
Help me think of someplace amazing to take her! Both of us work 70-80 hours per week and can only take the weekend off, I'm thinking of taking her to either Bryce Canyon or Toronto.
