Envelope keeps crashing RC when using idea tool.

I am sorry, I think you have already sent me info about this earlier. I remember I have tried this in the past, but I checked this again today, and I don't understand something: it is not possible to use envelopes in the Idea Tool, because they are reset each time you press 'Generate'.
Can you send me steps to reproduce this bug?

Anything besides having to navigate to the 'x' in the upper left corner of the window and click it would be a big time-and-motion improvement ...

RapidComposer v3.9b39 is available!
Improvements:

• Ctrl-W (on Windows) or Cmd-W (on macOS) closes the chord palette window. The shortcut cannot be reassigned.

FWIW, I think having that Ctrl-W keystroke shortcut work for every window that displays the closing 'x' at the upper left would be wonderful.

Can anyone explain to me why I'm unable to get the same notes (bass notes 1 and b5 in this case) to appear in the octave of my choice when I drag the phrase in the Composition view?

I'm observing cases where the smallest increment of drag causes the notes to separate by an octave, as between this:

and this:

RC - 1 and b5 02.jpg

and dragging again does not put them back together in the same (new, lower) octave.

Thanks for audio sync and local playback in vst !!
It would be good to be able to drag n drop audio into the track.
And, maybe a pan slider, but I don't want to push it.

The peaks in the audio file display go out of sync the further into the wav.
It is playing in sync, just the waveform is out, it gradually gets later.

This is VERY strange because not just the graphics (which is resampled from a low-resolution sample buffer) but also the audio goes out of sync, the error is about 1/640 seconds per second.

Yes, this happened on both Mac and PC but it has already been fixed. The graphics being out-of-sync was the result of a calculation imprecision accumulated... My bad!

Hi Attila.

Basically when using the envelope with replace composition it works every time but as soon as you use add new part then it disappears as soon as you hit generate. it needs to be able to work the same way it does when you add a variation to a track it affects the whole track no matter how many times you had a new path it just should carry it forward. I also feel that when you have chords on a track they should be able to follow the envelope without being converted to mono notes, I know this happens when you use envelopes on the main page but not in i the idea tool.

Previously, I would double click where I wanted the bar to split but that doesn't seem to work any more.
Has this changed? (Windows 10 64bit)

LOL I had the same issue the other day after not using that for a while,
but I don't mind re-learning if we are getting all these great features added !!

RapidComposer v3.9b42 is available!

Improvements:

• Menu shortcuts displayed. Shortcuts in square brackets require the keyboard focus to be set before pressing the shortcut.
• Fixed: audio tracks graphics and playback was out of sync after a minute or so
• Fixed: locations did not display the text field
