Yeah, I listened to it in the back of that Guardian review. I was interested in seeing how much it had in common / differed from stuff like Olodum and Ile Aiye, the samba community organisations / groups.
It totally agree with you. I think recording and documenting music is important, but being a cultural tourist to ritual music of a religion overstepping things. It's the remix stuff that I'm thinking about mainly.
