Two quick questions or feature requests:

1. I would like to set the FM modulator 2 octaves below the oscillator. Is there a reasonable way to do that?

I'm using Avenger increasingly in orchestral mixes, either by blending Avenger sounds with Kontakt instruments, or just tweaking Avenger to sound a bit like an orchestral instrument.

This is working really well. My soundtracks sound great for it.

afaik orchestral possibilities are a totally undiscovered part of Avenger.

Well, Avenger's capabilities outside of EDM are often talked about. And here we are talking about them.

Have you used Avenger successfully as an "orchestral" instrument yet?

One feature request... well, that may be a big one.

Can we please, please have an arp mode "probability" where the velocity is interpreted as the probability of the note actually triggering? I'd so much like to use Avenger as a generative sequencer system (8 arps! 8 oscs!), but there is no probability for the actuall triggering of notes to be found... for my use of Avenger, this would be a big increase in functionality, i'd set a long note into the DAW and let Avenger do all the groove/melody heavy lifting.

Or, even better, go all the way and add trigger conditions in the arp - like 25%, 50%, not_pred etc., as we have in the Elektron hardware machines. No synth currently covers this, and using sequencer vsts is a bit inconvenient in Ableton (separate channel etc.).

What do you guys think?

Hi, just bought this and after reading most of this thread posts,
i understand better the GUI 'issues'.


First impressions about the GUI:
Macro knobs are BIG, Macro Buttons are small, When the Macro Buttons are assigned the label text could be in white instead of gray.
There are other modules that could benefit of a Brighter font, white or even yellow.
Mod Matrix could use more space has been posted before.

I had a couple of GUI ideas, I use 2 Full HD monitors, one 27" and other 24".
The main idea of the first example is to make the 'Browser' collapsible or the Mod Matrix expandible,
giving it more space.

The second example, is, to me, the simpler solution for a 'bigger' Mod Matrix,
that could use the 'blank' space.
The Tabs, the Macro Buttons and the Font have to increase in size of course.
