For a technical reason I'm not going to get into I can't control the expresion of the Miles'Tone VST with my midi controller but I'm posting my first experiment. Cuz I want to go try out the sax =)

*Edit* I'm hoping to get the expression working and see the difference
Hello Runagate, I'm sorry I was in such a flaming weird mood the other night when I went off on you and Shamann. It was not the Jacob's Ladder talking, instead it was a new, much stronger asthma medication that I was getting back on. I'd forgotten how wired up it makes me - crazy for the first few days.

Anyway, I like this piece. It's better than your recent Pac Man game thingie. I like this piece for the sort of free-form-jazz sound. And the drone string thing gives it an Eastern flavor of some sorts. :D :D

Yeah, this new Miles'Tone is pretty amazing isn't it? I was knocked over when I first tried it out.

Again, Runagate, I apologize for the other night. I'll try to be more careful, next time I switch asthma meds. :D

I'm up to my old hat tricks again.

For some reason the demo reminded me of Blade Runner.
Sax sounds great in the low register - maybe a cross between a baritone and tenor.
Will it be a specific alto or tenor...etc or just a general sax sound?

Post

just to plaster the world with my sadness.. it's doing my head in how you can do such waveguiding with native modules.. just a hint.. ;)
you come and go, you come and go. amitabha neither a follower nor a leader be tagore "where roads are made i lose my way" where there is certainty, consideration is absent.

It still needs much work but compared to my early models it's starting to sound more... like a sax :)

Tell me what you think.

if this is the start point, it sound fawlessy promising!
please .. KEEP ON!

Guido sei un grande! Un'ottima tromba suonabilissima, grazie :)

OMFG! you're kidding! native SE modules! :o

That's so genius it's scary! :-o

Surely it's just the GUI we're talking about, and not the actual waveguide models?

Post

its voodoo is what it is. glad to see it continues!!!!!

That Sax demo makes me wet...

Keep us posted!

Thank you Guido, this plugin is unbelieveable! This thing rocks even without a breathcontroller. In fact as was discussed earlier I got that audio to midi fake bc working in Tracktion. And in realtime!

first I made a rack where I put slimslowslider autogate(to control audio input) and mdsp ENV2MIDI plugin that converted incoming audio to midi CC (which controlled the expression in Milestone). Then I just played some wild jazz :) from my MIDI keyboard while making funny noises to my Rode NT1 mic. Both audio and midi went into same Milestone track.

If someone is interested to host it I could upload a little improvised mp3 to show the sound (just fast test and even that gives chilling realism on occasion). When I learn to play this properly, it will surely sound very real!

This is something I dreamed while ago so sometimes dreams indeed seems to come true.

You can allways use the Fruity Envelope generator to control the pressure. Same as with the Fruity LFO.

It is good that you have an LFO control in it, but you need as well have a CC mapped to the LFO speed. If you don't have it then it will sound just like any other soundfont player, trust me!
Best regards from Johan Brodd.

im not too worried about it sounding like a soundfont, or anything sampled, thats not gonna happen.

Sax Model n. 20:

http://www.soundfonts.it/store/sax_model_20.mp3

The funny thing is that in this song you can hear three Synthedit plugins: MrRay22, Glaceverb (great!) and my tenor sax model. :D

This is a very soft tenor sax sound full of breath noise, maybe too much

Tony, I'd like you to test it with your wx5...

the mellow stuff is working really well on this demo :)

nice one. :D
