No, it's a different user.

There is a little story about the stupid name "zaphod".
Last year an user/beta-tester posted an image of nebula, without asking the permission for that; on the top of the plug there was the label "vectorial volterra kernels". Immediatly an other user asked what the hell was a "vectorial voltron", and if it was connected with a rocked science for building starships. So we joked a bit on that, it reminded us the "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" (a book from douglas adams), so I registered on kvr with a new name (zaphod, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zaphod_Beeblebrox), saying that "resistance is useless" (directed to other vst developers), and that "volterra" was the second name for "vogons". A joke. :hihi:

Ahhh... good old hitch hikers guid to the galaxy...

So are you still looking for beta testers for GPU enabled nebula 3?

Not at the moment, but probably we'll need. Stay tuned!

haha, what did you test? :P you need a CUDA supported graphic card (geforce 8XXX series)

At the moment cuda is supporting:

* Tesla C870 (1.0)
* Tesla D870 (1.0)
* Tesla S870 (1.0)
* Quadro FX 4600 (1.0)
* Quadro FX 5600 (1.0)
* GeForce 8800 (1.0)
* GeForce 8500 (1.1)
* GeForce 8600 (1.1)
* GeForce 8600M (1.1)
* GeForce 8400M (1.1)

Then how come the delay and chorus worked?

what's the more powerfull video card? what do I have to look at on the specifications?

:o :love:

whatever happened to this? I was expecting huge reverbs and 10-hour-long-tap delays by now.. :hihi: :(

+1

these work with my GF7300 se :)

Tested it on a Geforce 8800, sounds are nowhere to find.

I'm back 8)

Just wanted to mention that I currently work on a GPU impulse reverb as VST instrument, of course when done it'll be available for free so everyone can try it out.

I don't know how much time I need until it's finished but at least my 8600 GT created this wave file here:

8)

Still an offline program at the moment, I have problems with the impulse reverb algorithm in general (I'm not that good in DSP). But at least it works.

Algorithm-links to impulse-reverb are welcome :D

hi nils, your effort in all honest respect, but please, not convolution ... there are no possibilities to modulate the delays in the feedback (unless it's not some kind of dynamic convolution), so it will always sound static ...
i know, ir-reverbs are popular, but as long as the result is a static momentary capture, it can never sound alive ... :cry:

Well, I've got some nice IRs here that I would be happy about to use in my DAW without any cost, I don't think they don't sound alive.

I don't need a church made of plastic that changes it's structure while reveberating :D
