That's a good workaround, bruckner2. Thank you for responding.

I have a hunch the root cause is something as simple (and human) as forgetting to write the correct name into some critical file. I expect there will be some kind of patch for it in the future. I hope so.

cool. i assume we dump the file directly into the folder labelled 'multis'?

thanks for doing this!

I looked in the infinite library folder and found the file that has the correct cymbals in it = NDV MT Premr Kit_133.nkx

Then I just renamed it to NDV MT Grtsch Kit_128.nkx , which is what Kontakt 4 player is looking for.

Now I have the 2 crashes and the china with Premier skins.

I hope Allen can clear up the confusion about why it was looking for Grtsch files.[/code]
that works to resolve the error, but it's not the right set of sounds. It sounds like it actually IS the gretsch kit.

Post

I was wondering about that. I don't have the Gretsch MT kit, but here's the file info from the Premier MT kit :

Premier MT creates 2 samples files: NDV MT Premr Kit_132.nkx (998 MB) and NDV MT Premr Kit_133.nkx (96.8 MB)

I renamed the Kit_133 96.8MB file and now I have cymbals with Premier skins.

Gotta tell you though, I am really new to Kontakt 4 Player.

Hopefully we will get some clarification from Allen or Squids.

OK, this Premier Multikit issue really is sounding like something a community fix cannot solve. We need Allen or Squidz to engage.

We will not be forgotten, but I wouldn't expect quick action either. It takes time. Squids has been or still is in LA. It's only 9am on the east coast us, and esoundz/Sonic Reality doesn't usually open until 10 am. And... in the us, this is a national holiday. Give them a little time... like a few days. Cross posting won't help, especially since we've been asked to discuss problems on this thread. I got the premier MT too, but I'll just use the other kits until this is fixed.

Here is the Kick multi. Just drag into your IP muti folder. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4085048/Kick%20Multi.nkm

Wasn't aware of the national holiday in the US. I'm in the UK.

Thanks for the effort and thought but I can't get the snare or the kick to load. To clarify, should the file be placed in the root of the Multi folder or under the Deluxe Instrument Multi folder or the Ultimate Studio Drums folder. I've tried all three to no avail.

I've moved my Infinite Player files to my 2nd hard drive. Would that possibly make a difference with path references in the file?

It seems to try to load, the dialog file loader comes up for about a second and disappears and nothing ever loads and no files go flashing by like when other kits load.

Thanks,
Dee

Martin Luther King Memorial Day

But nevertheless, I wouldn't worry. Squids sometimes needs reminding, but he always takes care of the customers. I can personally attest to this.

Big fan of MLK, too. Should have known it was his day. :)

Also the patch update created duplicate entries in the multi browser , the duplicates read like this " ._DM2 Bonhm Ludwg STm Kit GM.nkm" they load as empty multis. No big deal though, just a little messy.

The same thing occurred for many of the kits I unpacked using the IP Installer. There is also a ._.DS_Store file in the directories as well. These look to be related to Mac usage. I am using Windows XP Pro. It looks like the installer is copying files on Windows that are not needed. Should these files just be deleted?

Thanks for the confirmation Allen

+1, I have the same thing. No harm, just kind of messy.
