I'll admit my way of making music is unconventional in many ways and I probably don't use 50% of what FL can do. That's just the way I work, my approach is quite old school and I have no idea what stuff like sidechaining etc. does, and little do I care.mdkr wrote:You unfortunately need to learn your own system.
I will say this though. If there's something I DO know about FL it's how to set up instruments, both hardware and software. After all, I've been dealing with FL for 4 years and been working with hardware synths within the DAW for 3 years, including an old DX7.
I NEVER had any problems before and that's why the VenomEd not functioning really made my mind blank.
SO....I did what was maybe a bit over the edge, but I've been destined to make this work. Since everybody else can, why can't I?
I re-installed the Venom drivers, FL and VenomEd and completely removed Vyxez!
...And now it works!!
It seems the whole thing messed up my computer. Me running Vista may be an issue as well.
You people have been most helpful and this, once again, proves why KVR is an amazing community that no musician or hobbyist should miss out on!
Thank you all
Thank you all.

Sweet. I think you would be safe to reinstall vysex too now that everything works right. I had to do a reinstall of drivers and vysex as you might have read several pages back because vysex was acting buggy on me. That was before VenomEd had the beta, so nothing to do with VenomEd.
I think that they are probably a few firmware and vysex revisions behind in updates and bug fixes but since the company switched hands and now they are just getting rid of stock at low prices, we are all probably stuck with an as-is firmware and no vysex updates ever again. Thankfully the synth has many great features and sounds great as-is and VenomEd is being custom written to address it as-is, so I guess it's all good. Now if InMusic were to contract MKDR and start supporting the product again, we would all be in hogs heaven.

Probably so, but I suppose VenomEd renders it obsolete. Unless there's something that only Vyzex can do.Wormhelmet wrote:Sweet. I think you would be safe to reinstall vysex too now that everything works right.

Just that VenomEd is beta still and doesn't address multi's yet and a few other things, but if you feel like waiting that's fine too. I have good faith MKDR will have all of it there when it is complete. Such a better layout than vysex too. Also no 9 minute timeout on vysex. Waiting for his link to be posted in his forum here on KVR so I can just buy it now.
Question for MKDR - when we purchase it, even if still beta, will that let us eliminate the timeout?
Really hoping for that bundle of vst and standalone applications....

I'll probably wait for the full release and get the whole package at once. I can easily wait until it gets an official release. I usually do.

I'm glad you got it working - It really is a better have it as a VST! He will also I think be mapping the performance control on the hardware, currently only resonance is mapped.K-Bee wrote:I'll probably wait for the full release and get the whole package at once.
