Can someone get me up to speed here please? I've sort of missed all the latest news on Zebra. So there is a Zebra 3 due soon that will have a very attractive upgrade price and will include a new skin? What other new features have I missed? Love Zebra 2 and I imagine Zebra 3 will garner just as much affection..... :)
[e: as noted ...]
Some Zebra3 news has been dropped here, but the subject of this thread is a pretty large set of patches from Hans Zimmer's Batman stuff. Additionally some of this stuff uses a version of Zebra with some curious extensions - Diva filters, compressors per lane of the voice grid have been noted - so it'll come with something like a Zebra-HZ.

If there is a new skin IMHO the Diva stuff should be in catsuit.

So I notice in the script line that it starts with "If HZ_Zebra then..."

Does this mean that you get a license to the Hanz Zimmer version, but it's the same Zebra plug-in, updated? Like having the proper license unlocks features? That would be nice, because then existing projects that use Zebra could test out the new additions without having to swap out the plug-in for the HZ version.

Well, most scores seem to be "inspired work" by some guys I've never heard of... please send me an email or something if you find the real "The End"... can't wait to hear it :)

I have to start rolling loose change and see if I can come up with enough for Zebra and its evil sibling with its Analog-Like FREquency Distorters. Enjoying Diva in the meantime...

I love zebra2. But I am starting to collect so many patches that I am realizing that the current patch navigation system is a bit clunky.

For zebra3, Urs please consider adding in more user controls for patch navigation, and organization. Things like : ability for users to add keywords or descriptions to other peoples patches (eg: cool bass for dirty-trance or electro), a multi-keyword search system (google-like) for those keywords and official descriptions, virtual folders to help organize patches into multiple categories (eg: a patch could be in a 'bass' v-folder AND an 'electro' v-folder). Maybe even some midi-control into the patch system to give Traktor-like navigation.

looking forward to HZ's patch set!

@Jeshi: the way I see it, a collection of patches is like your documents on your computer - you have to look after the directory structure, what goes in where etc.. And that's still a good thing imho (despite recent attempts from the big OS makers to relieve you of all responsibility).

Operating systems do have search functions, though, and I'd like to see that in Zebra3. Maybe like the one in VirusControl?

Anyway, all this is off-topic...

thanks. yes a little off topic, but with 350 new HZ patches in this Dark Zebra patch set, it is a tiny-bit on-topic :) looking forward to this patch set and special ZebraHZ
