Yes , they aresinkmusic wrote:Thank you for the early GUI version. Some text is overlapping ("resonance", afair).
i guess it is the JUCE stock knobs, right ?
Do you plan to have it look a bit like the original hardware, in the final GUI ? or a completely different design ?
I think, i should extend original design because obxd implements more functions, that wont lay out well. I have some ideas but they are not final yet

I dig the GUI and the knobs are really cool. You can easily tell the value of every knob. That's really good. I'm all for functionality over looks, always. I so love SignalDust's GUIs, for instance. I would prefer the dark background and bright knobs, though, but I'll take and enjoy immensely whatever you offer, of course.
Enough about the looks. What's important is that the knobs work quite smoothly. I didn't expect that. Even more, I expected the CPU usage to rise quite a bit when I automate a few parameters, but I don't think there's any additional CPU usage there. Well, the CPU meter in EXT is not really precise, but if there is some additional CPU usage it is really low. I automated cutoff and resonance at the same time. Works smooth as a buttah.
Great, great job, 2DaT!
Waiting eagerly for the GUI with all the parameters on it! Cheers!

I added the .dll to my VST Plugins folder, and both Sonar X3c and Studio One 2.6.1 couldn't find the plugin. Both are 64bit versions. However, I was able to open it in Reaper just fine.
Now that I'm thinking of it, is the plugin 32 or 64 bit? If 32, perhaps that's the cause...gotta run to work so I can't really troubleshoot right now. Probably best to just ignore this post unless you get other similar reports.

32 bit yet, but changing to 64 can be done in few clicksFunkybot's Evil Twin wrote:I added the .dll to my VST Plugins folder, and both Sonar X3c and Studio One 2.6.1 couldn't find the plugin. Both are 64bit versions. However, I was able to open it in Reaper just fine.

Cool update. Unfinished gui yet , but almost all main parameters are on it.
Still need some time to add extra params.
Also changed behaviour of voice detune knob : now it detunes every oscillator in synth separatly instead of voices.
Added filter band pass blend( in middle of multimode knob).
Some audio safe optimisations.
Changed ARSR and lfo pitch amout scale ( double log scale on lfo pitch need some futher tuning)
Here it is:

Do you like the layout? Lets discuss it.

Layout is clear and well done, to me. How many parameters are still missing?
I noticed that, in the current state, I can't load nor save FXP patches. Am I missing something?

Few parameters - like legato mode , pitch bend range and some minor stuff like envmod.fmr wrote:Layout is clear and well done, to me. How many parameters are still missing?

Patch system is not ready because parameter ranges need calibration

OK. Perhaps it would be good to have value number boxes on the bottom of the knobs, with the possibility to type values by keyboard. I always find it annoying when a GUI only allows parameter entering by knob and maouse, not by typing. Or you could include the possibility of double clicking on the knob and opening a value box (whatever you find easier)2DaT wrote:Few parameters - like legato mode , pitch bend range and some minor stuff like envmod.fmr wrote:Layout is clear and well done, to me. It's supercute.
Yeah, the layout makes a lot of sense and I have to repeat that I like the knobs a lot.
The only knobs that I like better are the ones like in Korg M1, or Dune, or Circle [I'm sure there are more] where you can clearly see what the value of the button is. What's most important, however, is that the knobs work smoothly, and they do. Even with automation.
I haven't tried loading presets with this version in Reaper, where I still use the last GUIless version, but it works in EnergyXT, so saving presets should be possible, but of course it is inadvisable to use this version until you calibrate and include all the controls in the GUI.
Thank you 2DaT!
Cheers!

I too think this is a good idea, maybe a small display which shows the value of the chosen knob...and add a popup oscilloscope/spectrogram for sheer visual pleasure--I like watching sounds!fmr wrote:2DaT wrote:fmr wrote: Or you could include the possibility of double clicking on the knob and opening a value box (whatever you find easier)

I am working in VSTHost, and there I can't name the patches, load them or save them (it works with the FXP and FXB format). Proprietary host formats may work, though, but, as the programmer said, they will be broken in the next version, anyway.DuX wrote:It's supercute.Yeah, the layout makes a lot of sense and I have to repeat that I like the knobs a lot.
