Just "upgraded". I'm extremely disappointed. It's so buggy as to be unusable. It breaks at the drop of a hat using Reaper. I wonder if Cakewalk did any QA at all or with any hosts other than their own. My advice is stay away from it until Cakewalk can fix it.

Anyone else had a weird problem where after playing for awhile at normal volume, you hit the modwheel and suddenly the volume drops to near audible on many patches (though not all). Not replicatible, but very frustrating.
Music you can believe in:

Okay, I have to ask. Before you upgraded, wasn't there a demo version you could try out to make sure it actually worked? If not, then personally I'd never upgrade because you have no idea what nightmares you're going to run into.Rogue Trooper wrote:Just "upgraded". I'm extremely disappointed. Then they'd go broke if all their customers were like me. No way I upgrade or buy a VST if I can't demo it first. The only exception I ever made was Omnisphere 2 and believe me, I was holding my breath on that one. Had I not had my original CDs still and could simply reinstall Omni 1, I would have never done it.pwal wrote:nope, no demo version available, also no demo of latest sonar :-S maybe it's a new trend at cakewalk
Hopefully, you can go back to Rapture 1 if there's a problem.

It's Cakewalk, generally it seems first releases are problematic but issues largely get addressed in the .1 release.

Command Center is really crap, I click install all but after have download a couple of instruments, it says error. So i download all manually instead on by one. It says is in demo mode in my DAW, tries to install all again, but stops after Legacy 2 error again.
Two of the the library has red light, but i have them in my download folder.
I'm on mac.

As I remember it - not using CCC you register manually.Hellfog wrote:Command Center is really crap, I click install all but after have download a couple of instruments, it says error. If you hit the Install button under Install All, it will install just the plugin and (should) authorise it. I think after that you can install the libraries manually, although Install All in CCC worked for me on the second pass (where it blithely decides to redownload the stuff and reinstall the plugin).Hellfog wrote:Command Center is really crap, I click install all but after have download a couple of instruments, it says error. There is a known bug for some Mac systems where this doesn't work, leaving one stuck in demo mode.Gamma-UT wrote:If you hit the Install button under Install All, it will install just the plugin and (should) authorise it.
I am seeing it on 10.8.5 - installed by hand, then uninstalled and reinstalled the plug using CCC. I also see two of the libraries are marked in red. Tried reinstalling them with CCC but it didn't help.
CW support told me Friday that several people have experienced the same bug, that a fix had been found and would be released 'very soon'.
