I can't believe this thread actually,
how popular is guitar(and guitar acquisition syndrome!)
The truth is though that polyphonic instruments are reasonably rare-
and guitar has an interesting paradigm as far as what the left and right hand are doing-although concert strings are similar.
On our soft forum-performance will always have a place among our sequencings.
It's easier to see the notes laid out like they are compared to brass(which I play even more terribly).
hmm, I think I will have another lash on the Gibson natural now.
Don't get me started on Fenders. One guitar I regret not scrimping for was an American Tele. The abalone inlays were gorgeous. I think it was translucent blue- a custom that somehow ended up on the shop floor. My mum said-U r not spending $3000 on a guitar lol
hugs back atcha-I'd like to sink a few stubbies with you in ur studio and listen ur stuff-play mine in turn.
Ian could still be following us(omg I hope he can't read my mind though),logging into kvraudio.heaven
Cats with him too

Ok, manic mood over
I'll keep my options open until I have my arm appt in two weeks. If they tell me to stop playing guitar for any given time, the fender will have to go back!

The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

I like their fretless with the metal fingerboard.Dean Aka Nekro wrote:if you two have not tried one or two of Vigier's Excaliber models for an insane super strat with all the shred any player would need along with the G.V models, Chris you say that your hands are small often, A Vigier would make that feeling disappear IMHO. If you can or happen to get a chance then maybe they have the guitar you need/been waiting for

I've got long spider hands and have almost completely wasted that gift. I can't shred nearly to the level of hibidy. I can do 5 semitone bends and a mean Albert Collins-style vibrato, though.Hink wrote:I have small hands too but I have never considered it a hindrance, I do notice that I tend play on top of the neck more while gripping the neck less. I think not grabbing the neck like wile e coyote grabbing a branch on the side of a cliff keeps my arm itself far more relaxed

I would love a Vigier, but can't spend that much. What I want is now Fisher Tripleplay. It looks like THE one. Should pick that up... completely ignoring the fact that I will probably have to get it from US. Uh.
On the other hand, my fretless is giving me trouble. I think it's the pickup. I would like Bartolini 9J1, but I hate it when I end up spending more on pickups than the actual guitar/bass. Also looking to drop an EMG set on my tele, but not sure if it would be worth it.

It's all about the wavelets. I dream of the perfect additive synthesis.

I can get you a complete EMG T Set for $101. It's a pretty different sound from normal tele pickups.schnapsglas wrote:Also looking to drop an EMG set on my tele, but not sure if it would be worth it.
